  • Nike Air Force 1 Low – Green Snake

The Nike Air Force 1 Low – Green Snake is apparently a nod to this being the year of the snake. Now of course there’s no allusion to whether this “Green Snake” is a deadly mamba or a harmless tree snake. We leave that to your good judgement after you have seen the images.

But we do know that this is one dope colorway and it comes after the Blue Snake. It’s a mesh and nubuck affair with a white swoosh and a white midsole. The mesh covers the snakeskin build. The construction sits on a green rubber sole. Most probably these snakes are set for a January release.

TheNike Air Ultra Force 2013 first made news in June; and now we have another iteration of the same scheduled for a Spring 2013 release.

This line, as you may already know, is a reworking of the Air Ultra Force High that was popular in the nineties. The upper on this new mid has a reworked upper and these carry a Max Air cushioned midsole. So, definitely not true retros but an interesting mix-n-match approach. Compared to the 90s originals, these retooled Ultra Force pieces have a sleeker look. Why don’t you take a look?

This is big news. New Balance, the venerable shoe manufacturer with a manufacturing presence in both the U.K and the U.S, is now going to manufacture skateboarding kicks as well. Hey Vans and Nike, this is serious competition. But we’re going to love it.

The skateboarding sneakers and apparel will be made under a license agreement with Black Box.

Said Rob DeMartini, President & CEO at New Balance “New Balance is proud to partner with Black Box on the New Balance Numeric skate footwear initiative,”.

The sneakers will debut at the Agenda Trade Show on January 4th, 2013 at Long Beach, California.

  • Family of Force – Air Force 1 Boot

The Air Force 1 Boot is yet another member of the first family of sneakers. If the original AF1 is the Capo di tutti capi and lords over all then in an elegant sort of way this Boot is the enforcer. Check it out. Rarely do you come across a boot that so promises all-weather durability in such an elegant package.

The scooped collar, a design element taken from duckboots, ensures warmth and protection. The encapsulated Air-sole heel unit is of course an AF1 staple. It’s a sonata in white with white laces, midsole, and an outsole that promises a good grip.

Take a look at the image, what do you think?
