Nike has deigned to give us folks a more detailed look at the Free Trainer 3.0, a cross trainer that arrives on January 1 in a number of colorways. Follow link for an excellent read on the company website.

The company chooses to describe the low cut as “fusing minimalism with stability and comfort…zero distractions, lightweight, breathable, and working in harmony with the natural motion of the body.”

It is no doubt a technological leap from the Air Trainer 1 that debuted in 1987 and introduced Nike Air technology to the world. The mesh upper on this model is designed using enforced polyurethane than actually helps in creating a good fit with balance and easy carry. The phylon midsole is responsible to how you load it and offers responsive cushioning.

The New Balance Pro Court Hi gets a new colorway – white and blue and if you would like to conjecture on what models from the New Balance stable could be used for Numeric, then the Pro Court Hi is surely a candidate.

The canvas white upper has a beige “N” stitched on to the side, the logo standing out nicely against the white backdrop. The rubber toecap is deliberately yellowed for that unmistakable vintage look. Blue accents appear on the heel and the tongue. The construction rests on a gum sole.

This is a new introduction by Nike, better to make it clear or you might take it to be a retro, a reworking of an original, or a new colorway – no sir! This is a fresh addition to the Nike portfolio.

And its an interesting one at that. Because it takes a traditional sneaker style, namely the chukka and then it is worked upon using two of Nike’s proprietary and popular technologies. These of course are the flyknit and the Lunarlon sole.

The mid-cut features a black knit upper with tonal laces and a white ribbed midsole. The same idea is carried to the white leather swoosh that features prints. The turquoise flywire adds color to this otherwise black and white affair.
