There is an old saying that disavows wearing white after Labor Day. Though the origins of that saying haven’t been confirmed, it is said to have originated in the in the early 20th century when people wore white to stay cooler in the summer. As the Fall approached, people often switched to “warmer” colors to help combat the change in temperature. With Labor Day representing a symbolic change of the seasons, the rule of etiquette was born. However, as sneakerheads, the rule is often tossed out the window regardless of the season, and we rock what we want. Since we have never really been about following the rules and like to rock our kicks based on how we are feeling, we put together a list of primarily white kicks you could get away that release after Labor Day.
Nike Air Force 1 Year of the Dragon III
Nike Sportswear is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1. Lucky for us, we have seen three Year of the Dragon versions of the sneaker hit retail. Dressed in white leather with pearl accents, it’s not hard to think of many reasons for rocking this when it releases later this month.
