Today, adidas officially announced the D Rose 3signature basketball shoe. Featuring adidas’ most innovative performance features, the new shoe has taken on a decidedly more premium feel. Designer at adidas worked closely with Rose on the new signature sneaker, tailoring the fit and feel to his particular style of play. Working with synthetic and nubuck leather, the upper of the silhouette is given a clean look for styling both on and off the court.

Detailing on the D Rose 3 include references to his background such as the illustration of his family tree and the landmark of 73rd and Paulina in the Englewood neighborhood where he grew up on the back of the tongue. Additionally, the model features the new D Rose logo. The new logo has a bolder appeal than the previous offerings and uses a reflective material to illuminate and pop on and off the court.

The D Rose 3 launches at adidas.com, Foot Locker, Eastbay, Finish Line and other retailers nationwide on October 4 for $160 in away (black/white/red) and home (grey/black/red) colorways and will roll out in seven additional colors through the end of the year.

The sport of UFC was solidified as a “big deal” when word of Jon Jones receiving a global endorsement from Nike. Unbeknownst to most, Anderson Silva had been sponsored by the Swoosh on a regional level. That deal has been increased to a global deal. His manager, Ed Soares, says, “ The best of the best have always had some sort of affiliation with Nike, and I think the brand fits Anderson better than any other MMA athlete in the world.” Fan know Silva has been dominant for quite a while. It seems with Jones and Silva both on the roster, Nike is creating a powerhouse in yet another sport.
