The guys at Adidas have brewed another classic move as they revived the classic Phantom back to life.

First seen in 1985 as a running shoe a neutral grayscale shade, the Phantom also saw its soles on the hardwood in the early 90’s as a low top and high top basketball shoe with a handful of varieties and colorways. Now, the Phantom is invigorated with a one-two punch of pool and royal blue mesh and suede accompanied by a dash of red on the rear, tonal laces and of course, the classic three stripes in white. Adidas also made it a point in preserving the lightweight, “rocket like” blueprint of the Phantom – an idyllic kicks for both the track and the street.

The Adidas Phantom Pool Blue is set for an August 2012 debut and will be available on pre-order via End and Overkill.

New York Giants Wide Receiver Victor Cruz has been a staple in Celebrity Sneaker Stalker for a minute now, but Heat Guard Dwayne Wade is no stranger to the column either. D-Wade’s style has become a topic of conversation stemming from his eccentric choice of outfits this past NBA season. However, Cruz usually keeps it pretty simple and let his shoes speak loudly for him. It just so happens as D-Wade is taking a break from competition after knee surgery and Cruz gears up for the upcoming NFL season, they were both spotted rocking a pair of Air Jordan 3 Oregon Ducks ”Home”. As usual, the Wade spiced things up a bit with his outfit, while the Cruz took a more subtle approach. Both men played pivotal roles on championship teams for their respective teams this past season.
