Nike has decided to go retro… with the Air Jordan VII “Raptors” that debuted two decades ago.The shoes are set to make a comeback next month after they were last seen in 2009; they will be available from the 1st of September. Those with a memory that goes that far back in time will remember that the distinctive colorway of these shoes – OG Black/True Red-Dark Charcoal – Club Purple colorway – made them items of desire. The introduction of the color purple to the color-scheme created the impact.

Red and purple outlines jag around the neoprene sides. The black rubber outsole sports red, yellow, and purple details.

BTW, these shoes have been around for longer than the Toronto-based NBA franchise that gives them the moniker – Raptors. Michael Jordan actually wore these during the 1992 playoffs season. It is a safe bet that these beauties will fly off the shelves when they become available. $260, a fair price for the Air Jordan VII Raptors?

The soon-to-be-introduced Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid Premium commemorate Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman’s days as a player on the Oregon University football team. The shoes are available in two flipped colorways – black and khaki. The design elements for both colors are the same and include a meshed tongue, glossy leather body and suede uppers.

The laces are black for both colorways; BB51 is embossed on the heel, and in case you haven’t cracked it already – BB derives from Bill Bowerman’s initials and 51 was his jersey number from his playing days.
