Olympic gold medalist and Jordan brand ambassador Carmelo Anthony has most likely been rewarded for his gold-winning efforts at the London Olympics. Two colorways of the Air Jordan IV sneakers display a gold Jumpman logo. The three colorways in question are basically interplays of red, white, and black.

Of these the Air Jordan IV ‘Red Suede’ PEs are easily the most eye-catching and are already inviting comparisons with the 2009 Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’.

These Player Exclusives are clearly worth keeping an eye open for and we shall do so for you. If any of these iterations ever make past the sample stage, you will read about them over here.

Rumor has it December 22nd 2012 is the date tentatively set for the release of the Air Jordan 11 (XI) Black/Red 2012 and these are set to retail at $180 a pair. Accompanied by two red-colored plastic shoehorns these kicks could well be special-edition pieces meant to be taken home in special edition boxes.

Officially, the colorway is Black/Varsity Red-White.

The Black /Red Air Jordan XI was last seen in 2008 as a constituent of the Countdown Packs; these sneakers earlier operated under the moniker Playoff and now have the handle Bred. The design of the shoe, inspired by Chicago Bulls, consists of a black upper body with leather and mesh; a white textile midsole with black patent leather above it and a varsity red translucent outsole. A red jumpman logo on the ankle gives the finishing touch; it is also visible at the heel.

  • Gino Iannucci and John McEnroe debut the Nike SB Challenge Court
By on August 21st, 2012 | No Comments Comments

Nike SB takes it from the court to the street with a revision of a classic tennis sneaker, the Nike SB Challenge Court. Originally seen on the feet of John McEnroe, the Nike SB version will be sported by none other than Gino Iannucci. Considering the harsh conditions a skate shoe must endure, Nike upgraded the tennis shoe with a nylon mesh upper trimmed in full-grain leather, an integral arch sock liner and an extended ankle collar. For added cushion, Nike uses a Lunarlon midsole, leaving the rest of the shoe as it was before. The Nike SB Challenge Court is set to retail for $80 at select retailers and skate shops.
