    Over the weekend, news of Ray Allen leaving the Celtics to join the defending champion Miami Heat dominated the NBA free agency conversations on various forums, on Twitter, and in the Nice Kicks office. We began to envision what Ray Allen’s Air Jordan player exclusives might look like donning a black, deep red and orange Miami Heat color scheme, but not before we took a moment to reminisce on what Mr. Shuttlesworth wore as a Boston Celtics. From clover green retros to some of the hottest NBA All-Star Game wears, Ray Allen sported a slew of intriguing shoes during his 2007-2012 tenure with the Boston Celtics.   • M83 x Converse Chuck Taylor

    French electro band M83 has teamed with Converse to produce a one-of-a-kind M83 x Converse Chuck Taylor. The collaborative effort includes “M83” graphics and speckled printing on the canvas upper. Red and blue trim accent a white rubber sole, and black laces finish provide a contrasted finish for the unique shoe. Along with the shoe, Converse is giving fans a chance to design a poster inspired by M83’s album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. Three winning contestants will have their artwork displayed on original M83 posters at Central Park Summer Stage in NYC on August 8, 2012. Also, 100 of each wining poster will be sold, and made into an exclusive Chuck Taylor. Contestants should submit their titled artwork along with a brief (1-2 sentence) explanation of their entry to [email protected], or submit via Instagram with hashtag #M83Converse.
