As much as I love grey shoes, I like to hit the court in bright, vivid colorways of my favorite signature shoes like this one. I need to iD a pair of Kobe VIIs as soon as possible.

  • Kicks On Court: Black Mamba Rocks Green Laces in New Kobe VII PE
By on May 20th, 2012 | No Comments Comments

Kobe Bryant is now 3-for-3 with his Kobe VII player exclusives in the Lakers vs. Thunder series. In last night’s Game 3, the Black Mamba pulled out yet another colorway of his seventh signature shoe; this particular pair will probably raise eyebrows more than the others. Sure, it features a typical Lakers-esque color scheme with a mainly white base and minimal purple and yellow accents, but Bryant incorporated green laces in this PE. What’s your thoughts on the green laces in these Kobe VIIs? What do you think is the significance of the green laces? View these shoes plus more, worn by Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Rajon Rondo and others, in today’s edition of Kicks On Court.

Also, stay tuned later today to hear from Ty Lawson about his top Kicks On Court moments, and get the rundown of Gilbert Arenas’ top moments in today’s Kicks On Court Weekly Recap.

  • Bring ‘em Back: Nike Air Max CW White/Black-True Red
By on May 20th, 2012 | No Comments Comments

It doesn’t make sense. The mid-90s basketball well is near tapped and there’s already an abundance of “Bulls” colorway kicks. So why hasn’t the Nike Air Max CW retroed in the White/Black-True Red colorway? Or better yet, why do we want it? As stated, there are plenty of existing alternatives to this sneaker, but something makes this pair special. Perhaps it’s the way the two-tone color blocking defies convention and highlights the design, or maybe it was the newfound nostalgia between Webber and Nike in DC. Whatever it was, we like these. We’re cool with the Sensation name change; just bring ‘em back!
