It’s not yet too late for Lacoste to showcase its collection of sneakers that runs with the 2012 theme in accordance to Chinese calendar. Since this year is said to be the year of the water dragon, almost every shoe brand was able to create pairs that are truly influenced by the mythical animal, the dragon. This is a great motivation to become more creative that as if dragon has existed and everyone knows how it looks like. Yet, illustrations depict that a dragon has scaly skin such as that of a reptile and with a sharp tail. With this, Lacoste patterned its Broadwick according to what is believed to be a dragon form.

In lined with the other year of the dragon-inspired sneakers, the Lacoste Broadwick x NPC showcases three interesting colorways that represent the Chinese lucky colors. The red is for good fortune and joy, gold for neutrality and good luck, and silver for brightness, purity, and fulfillment. The shoe is characterized by an upper made of scaly texture and a smooth inner lining in monochromatic color scheme. White midsole is used for an accent, and on the rear comes noticeable a protruding dragon tail made up of PVC.
