    Air Jordan 3 "Black Flips"

The “Black Flip” did not impress me initially, but after seeing them in person, I think it is a nicely constructed sneaker. I really love the leather lining and perforated leather collar this shoe possesses. Also, the light grey outsole intrigues me considering that I thought it was colored in white before seeing it person. In my opinion, it’s one of Jordan Brand’s better releases this holiday season.

    Thankful

What are you thankful for today? Is it the excess food right in front of you and/or spending time with your loved ones? Could it be the return of some of your favorite classic sneakers throughout the year? Here at Nice Kicks, we’re always thankful for the brands releasing some of the most memorable kicks that surfaced in the ’80s, ’90s and even early 2000s. Our staff compiled a list of sneakers we’re most thankful for returning this year. Weren’t you excited to see the “Bordeaux” Air Jordan 7 finally retro? What about the Nike Air Griffey Max I “Emerald” which, before this past fall hadn’t hit shelves since 1996? Take a look at our 18 Sneakers We’re Most Thankful for Returning in 2011, and let us know which shoe you are most thankful for returning this year.

For the die-hard Griffey fans, there was just too big of a gap between the original 1996 release of the Nike Air Griffey Max I “Emerald” and the retro release that happened this fall. In recent years, we received the “Volt” Griffey Max I, the “Fresh Water” Griffey Max I and other new colorways. Therefore, this classic was past due.

  • See the revival of the color scheme of Air Jordan XIV Retro – White – Varsity Red
By on November 25th, 2011 | No Comments Comments

The famous and loved original color scheme, featuring varsity red and white of Air Jordan XIV is coming back with Air Jordan XIV Retro – White – Varsity Red for the second retro release, which is third overall. The original color combination of the pair is not messed up in this pair and the accents are kept to the minimal only, giving a very sober, simple, yet very stylish feel to this pair. Even though the official release date of this pair is yet not out of the bag, but a lot of buzz is already surrounding its release date. Well, if you are wondering that instead of featuring the same old color scheme what is new about this pair, then it is actually the quality of the pair.

Well, with the quality the price of the Air Jordan XIV Retro – White – Varsity Red has also gone up. The perforated upper covered with the white shade makes the pair look very grand and different. The leather upper comes with perforations that are diagonally aligned and you can also see the perforations on the side panels of the sneaker. This design renders more breathability to the pair and provides more ventilation as well. The design is very sleek and the outsole match well with the rest of the attributes to complete the looks of this sneaker. You can also notice the little hits of black, but these set off in a nice way with the varsity red color scheme. In fact, the contrast of red and white makes the pair very sleek.
