Week one of the NFL season’s bringing us not one, but two Monday Night Football games. This of course means we’ve readied two Monday Night Matchups. Round one sees a battle of the low tops, with 2002’s Air Jordan 6 Low Black/Metallic Silver (Oakland Raiders) squaring off against the Air Jordan 13 low “Syracuse” (Denver Broncos). The second match, in honor of New England’s game against Miami, pits the Air Jordan 7 “Olympic” against the Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low in a never-released colorway. “Entourage” wrapped it up last night, but that doesn’t mean we can’t relive some memories. Season 3 of the famed HBO show saw Vince make waves with “Aquaman”, Drama hit the screen on “Five Towns”, and Eric moved in with Sloan. All great, yes, but Turtle may have been the biggest winner. After missing out on a pair of limited Fukajami x Nike Air Force 1s at UNDFTD his boy Vinnie hooked him up with 1-of-1s. Good for you Sal.

The Air Jordan 3 “Black Flip” has been the hottest shoe on the Nice Kicks not named the Nike MAG 2011. We have now seen three photo galleries of this shoe, and each time there seems to be an overall likeness in regards to this shoe’s makeup. The almost blacked-out version of this Air Jordan 3 features the beloved cement print in a reverse design to that seen on most Air Jordan 3 releases. White hints, such as the Jumpman branding and the outsole, provide nice contrast. Stay tuned for possible release information regarding this shoe.

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall turned 21 a little under a week ago and although we already consider him of age for playing in the NBA, Reebok supplied him Zig Encore 2 “Grown Ass Man” for his birthday. The Reebok Zig Encore 2 “Grown Ass Man” released this past Saturday at the Crabtree Valley Mall Foot Locker in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Reebok Zig Encore 2 “Grown Ass Man”, limited to 21 pairs ($210), features a black and navy blue color scheme comprised of very fine, high-quality materials. Each pair is individually numbered and is packaged in a special, handmade cedar box with laser-etched details. The Reebok Zig Encore 2 “Grown Ass Man” also includes custom built cedar shoe trees and features the words, “Designed for John Wall, certified Grown Ass Man” on the tongue, along with his jersey number. All proceeds were given to John Wall’s charity of choice.

It makes sense that Vans Vault would name its new silhouette the Cuerpo, since it’s done nothing but body the competition lately. These new releases use details like woven liners, waxed laces, cord pull tabs and reinforced sidewalls. The first makes use a rich nubuck in Cream, while the second’s upper is constructed with Monk’s Robe leather. Both are ideal for dressing up without losing that certain sneaker appeal we all appreciate so much. Oh, and they use really, really nice materials.
