It’s first time in sneaker history that a highlighter concept is being used. A couple of months ago, we featured a Nike Dunk High Premium with the “Back to School” theme where the upper features canvas with crayon scribbles all over. In a same perception, Supra wanted a more colorful selection of shoes, so the Supra Highlighter Group was created.

This recent collection defies the beauty of art supplies such as a highlighter that usually comes in brilliant colors. A highlighter is designed to draw attention to sections of documents by marking them with vivid, translucent color. A typical highlighter is fluorescent yellow colored with pyranine. Supra did not use the latter in revamping each of the shoes included in the Highlighter Group, instead fluorescent orange, green, blue, and pink are the highlighted tints. It features a number “5” on the rear, the number that identifies the weight of a corresponding bowling ball. Finally, the wedge-type sole comes in tan, a perfect bottom for a typical bowling shoe.
