Nike, the most renowned sportswear brand of the world prepares to release the new Nike 6.0 BMX Mavrk Low 2. Nike 6.0 is a sub brand of Nike focused on actions sport lifestyle such as surf, skates, snowboard etc while Nike SB covers only the world of skateboarding.

Designs and Features

Like the design of original Mavrk Low, the new Nike 6.0 BMX Mavrk Low 2 also uses a simple suede upper on top of a white vulcanized sole. Nike releases this sneaker in several colorways including beautiful ‘Tiffany’ suede. Red suede and grey suede along with other simple colorways will be also available.

The Nike 6.0 BMX Mavrk Low 2 features ‘Flexi-Wrap’-the latest innovation of Nike. After the creation of Nike Dunk Gyrizo which was a project only for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Nike realized the need of a BMX specified product. In design the Nike 6.0 Mavrk Low 2 is very similar to Nike SB series. To perfect the design of previously released Mavrk Low Nike and Nike 6.0 introduced vulcanized rubber sole with Phylon midsole for shock absorption. Inspired by Nike Free, the introduction of Flexi-Wrap outsole is the most crucial addition. The concept came when designers realized that the action of paddling is similar to that of walking or running. Basically Flexi-Wrap is a sport specific outsole made of eight articulated pieces while each piece can pivot back or forward individually.  The sole will also appear in other Nike 6.0 line such as Mavrk mid-2, Dunk SE and Brazen.

As part of fall/winter 2011 project Japanese brand CLUCT teamed up with retailer Mita sneakers and the legendary skate mag Thrasher to create two mid top sneakers. Thrasher’s line of skate sneakers has not been released in a while. But now they are back with the new mita sneakers x CLUCT x Thrasher – Fall/Winter 2011.

Designs and Features:

The companies jointed together to re- invent the popular skate sneakers. Mita sneakers x CLUCT x Thrasher – Fall/Winter 2011 is available in two clorways: Navy and Black. It is almost identical to Vans Chukka Boot but a bit higher than the traditional chukka as the fortified angle has more padding than traditional one. The sneaker features a mixed canvas and suede upper sitting at the top of a vulcanized outsole. The outsole gives the shoes more durability while embroidery on the heel make the sneaker stands out. Bold ‘Skate and Destroy’ is stitched on the heel while on the insole reads ‘Death Before Dishonor’ as a cool finishing touch. The CLUCT emblem is located on the tongue tag under the Japanese Thrasher sneaker logo.

This is great as for all those who liked the original Vans Chukka boot. The extra padding is also a great welcome. So, keep your eyes and ears open this fall or winter for these awesome sneakers.
