If you recall, three months ago, Lacoste brought together twelve famous collaborators, each picked a pair to do the make-over. Artists, musicians, designers, and even retailers were invited by the brand to express art in their own way by doing their own unique pairs of Lacoste shoes.

To have a brief review, let’s start with a pair done by designer Tim Hamilton. This high top boot sneaker comes in charcoal grey in tumbled design with black piping. The collar features an extension so to make the shoe look super high. Stones Throw aka DJ James Pants came up with a midtop which is made up of brown leather upper and white midsole. The SneakerFreaker-designed pair flaunts a boat shoe pack in black leather with black wool collar and mint green plus white accents. Japanese sneaker magazine, Shoes Master came up with a black suede midtop shoe that boasts multiple Lacoste patch logo and boot-like lace loops.

Sebastien Tellier sends out his thoughts by creating a blue nubuck pair with black patent leather midfoot strap. Jazzie B followed up with a minimalist low top pair in brown with white hints. British fashion magazine, i-D loves the idea of a green croc skin with matching white contrast sole unit while Hong Kong-based shop, D-Mop likes it better in pink suede. Retailer Colette designed another low top Lacoste shoe with abstract pattern and blue overlays with white sole unit. On the other hand, Lacoste’s artistic director, Christophe Lemaire chose to make a simple pair in white upper with green sole. Finally, retailer Bodega created a classic type in navy fabric upper with perforated vertical stripes, brown leather inner and heel tab, and a vintage midsole with gumsole, while Japanese designer, Ato Matsumoto had his high top pair in all-black upper with belt accent along the collar, patent heel and toe plus white sole.

This rich collection of unique varying sneakers will be available at Lacoste retailers on December 12, 2010.
