Most of us are getting ready for the release of the Air Jordan 7 Olympic “For the Love of the Game”, which is this Friday. However, here we get a look at another sneaker part of the “For the Love of the Game” pack. Jordan Brand has collaborated with Skull Candy, a company known for designing headphones, audio accessories and apparel. Both of those brands have combined their forces to give us this Air Jordan IX “For the Love of the Game” pack. This pack is really limited, only 23 are in existence. This Skull Candy x Air Jordan IX “For the Love of the Game” package features a CD Player, a set of University Blue headphones and finally the Air Jordan 9 “For the Love of the Game”. All the items are boxed in a special cargo like black box. This pack will be available exclusively at Atmos NYC and House of Hoops this week. As mentioned before, only 23 packs are in existence, so you’ll have to dig deep for a pair. Check out a couple more images after the jump and let us know what you think.

Take a look at this Nike SB Dunk High. This SB Dunk High is inspired after Tecate, a Mexican beer. We have seen a couple of beer inspired SB Dunks over the years. The biggest one had to be the “Heineken” Nike SB Dunk, which forced off shelves because it wasn’t approved by Heineken. Well this SB Dunk High isn’t as good as the “Heineken” SB Dunk, but it’s easily the second best beer SB Dunk.

The colorway comes from the design of the Tecate beer can. The first thing you notice is the red, which covers the toe, lace panels, heel and the Nike swoosh. Black leather covers the toe box and collar area, while that same black is seen on the tongue. Clean white is put into use on the inner lining, shoe laces, tongue tag and the midsole. This SB Dunk High also features a metallic gold quarter panel and a light brown outsole. This is a quickstrike release, so you might have to put in a little work if you want a pair. Here we see yet another sneaker for the USA basketball team. Yesterday we saw a Air Jordan Melo M6 Future Sole that came in a similar USA colorway. Thanks to the upcoming World Basketball Festival, we now get a “USA” Air Jordan 2010 Team. It seems as if more people like the Air Jordan 2010 Team than the original Air Jordan 2010 because of the windowless side panels. I’m not one of those people who likes the team better; I think the original Air Jordan 2010 looks much better.

Since this Air Jordan 2010 Team is made for the USA team, the colorway should be clear. White can be seen on the side panels, toe, shoe laces, tongue, part of the midsole and the entire outsole. Navy blue covers the toe, heel, inner lining and above the midsole. Red accents appear on the tongue, toe, heel, lace panels and the midsole. The sneaker is constructed of perforated white leather with larger perforations placed on the side panels. I don’t really like this shoe, mostly because of the way it’s designed. When you go and visit the town of Baja, California, you will notice of the huge signs above every bar, restaurant and market where the Tecate is sold. For the Bajacalifornian people, the Tecate Beer has been a symbol and it is the town’s pride for years. This Mexican cervesa originally brewed as a sideline by a man living in Baja, California and later named it after the town.

If there’s an inspiration, there’s always a conception just as how Nike capitalized the looks of the Tecate beer. From this idea, Nike came up with a new design that was later implemented on the SB Dunk High Pro. This quickstrike release features the Dunk High wearing red suede mudguard, lace panel, and heel with black premium leather toe box and ankle collar. The Tecate’s main influence appears on the midpanel wrapped in gold. To flair it up, silver stripes were applied but for no exact reason. Red leather makes up the Swoosh mounted on white premium leather. The Shoe laces and inner liner go together in light brown shade, just enough to complement the brownish sole unit.
