Just want to buy a pair of CW-X Conditioning Wear right now? CW-X Conditioning Wear.
Athletes have long dreamed of that “magic” outfit that will enhance their performance at practice and during races. It looks like Wacoal, the famous lingerie company in Japan, can help them fulfill that dream with the world’s first truly anatomically-engineered high performance sports apparel – the CW-X Conditioning Wear line of tights, tops and underwear.
CW-X provides optimal support for the muscles during a run.
In 1991, Wacoal developed a line of sports compression clothing using a patented integrated conditioning web of compression panels that support key muscle groups and joints, including the knees, that promises to maximize performance and minimize fatigue. Launched in Europe in 2002 and in the United States in 2003, it’s slowly taking over the athletic scene.
The anatomically-engineered products are now used and developed for many sports – road and mountain biking, cycling, off-road running, luge, fitness walking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, track and field, and other high-energy activities. Based on kinesiology, which is the study of human movement, it took Wacoal about half a century to perfect the range. The apparel has been extensively tested by world class runners and marathoners, cyclists in the Tour de France, Major League Baseball players, World Cup soccer players, mountain climbers on 2 different Everest expeditions, and many Olympic athletes.
The CW-X shorts and vest help prevent fatigue during those long rides.
The combination of a deep understanding of human anatomy with Wacoal’s extensive experience in the complex fabrications of intimate apparel design, and the study of about 35,000 people’s electrical pulse activity of the muscles (muscles firing into motion) measured electromyographically resulted in 50 patents in Japan and Europe, with 12 patents in the US alone, and the first anatomically-designed compression wear.
Made from 80% DuPont CoolMax, which is engineered to pull perspiration away from the body during physical activity, and 20% Lycra, which gives stretch and compression to the garment. The garments are supposed to create a protective and supportive layer around the body, which would help in lessening injuries and aiding in recovery after the sport by helping the muscles and ligaments band together around the joints. The line is available in full and three-quarter tights, shorts, long- and short-sleeved performance tops, support socks and support briefs for men and women, and sports bras for women.
The cycling apparel is specially engineered for the sport, with the cycling short’s padding for the sit bones coming in at a very comfortable 10mm. The team jersey is made of quick-drying Aquamiracle with the face side of Sunpaque fiber with titanium to block UV rays. Both ranges are available for men and women in four different sizes for a better fit.
Actor Shia LaBeouf uses CW-X pro tights for his runs.
CW-X is made for cold and warm weather to provide full use to athletes that must train in all seasons and under all conditions. The CW-X Ventilator line is engineered for warm weather to provide support and cooling with strategically-placed mesh ventilation panels that allow hot air to escape and cool air to enter, thereby reducing heat fatigue and improving circulation. The Stabilyx line is targeted to support the core and the knees for sports such as skiing and snowboarding with variable compression during and after activity. The Expert, the original Conditioning Wear, offers optimum support to the knees and quads. The Litefit tops of the Conditioning Wear line uses Healtha+ nanotechnology fabrics for ease of movement, moisture wicking and UV protection.
For optimal muscle support, the choice is CW-X Pro with the patented Support Web to bring joints in proper alignment and also create a ‘suspension system’ for the hamstrings and quadriceps and reduce the workload in the push and pull phase of linear movement sports like running and cross-country skiing. Optimum balance, efficiency, and power through correct alignment is what the PerformX line has to offer with the gently targeted compression of Support Web making it ideal recovery wear. The Insulator line uses Auto-sensor nanotechnology to maintain constant, comfortable temperature for the cold-weather athlete.
The extreme stress of the triathlon calls for the specialty Triathlon line that incorporates Support Web to support strategic muscles and enhance comfort and performance during this endurance test. And their special CW-X Compression Support Socks support the calf and arch while stabilizing the ankle joint for reduced fatigue.
The Men’s Support Briefs come in box cut and boxer lengths and are made in fabrics that wick away moisture to aid performance. The Women’s Litefit brief also wicks away moisture to add comfort during practice or competition.
The Women’s Sport Bra selection is where CW-X shines. With Ultra Support, Xtra Support, Firm Support, Sport Support, and Ventilator available in various sizes, women can be assured that the bra fits them, and not the other way around. All models provide optimum motion control, mesh webbing and Coolmax fabric for a cool, dry, and comfortable sports session.
