Mr. Cartoon picked a not so loud color to represent his own work as he ended up in black leather for the upper with a neat touch of Kevlar weave around the mudguard, tongue, and heel. A lot of sneaker brands draw attention to the military concept. The most prominent feature they ever take from the martial group is perhaps the camouflage print. This very popular stamp has been used by many and yet for Vans, a distinctive sneaker design was created.

By simply applying dark-tinted camouflage print throughout the entire upper, Vans finally came up with the Surf SRPLS model. This shoe uses the so-called Ripstop material, a lightweight nylon fabric with inter-woven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. Dark gray has been used as trimmings in between the toe area and midsection, along the lace panel, and around the edge of the tongue. The eyelets come in bronze with black pair of shoe laces.

Most of the Bespoke products that have been featured lately were courtesy of male designers and obviously they were all men’s fit. But this does not mean that a Bespoked pair for the ladies would no longer exist. Thanks to Lori of Female Sneaker Fiend that during her visit at the 21 Mercer she was able to work on a pair which she turned into one of the best custom ladies kicks so far.

The shoe was dubbed as Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke x Lori and it features an upper of rich charcoal suede with matching purple suede accent on the tongue and heel. A pearlized metallic silver patent leather Swoosh turns the whole silhouette into a little gleaming piece. Lori also put a custom metal debray with “FSF” label along with a personalized key chain.

By implementing her own design, Lori decided to use a charcoal midsole with purple stitching and black outer sole. Nike branding were done in embroidered type for the heel and label patch on the tongue.
