The highlight of the event was focused on the Royal High, the most iconic of all Pro-Keds styles. The Royal High was introduced in 1926 as the “Royal Tread” and it became the performance basketball shoe worn by many NBA and playground champions over the years.

This particular high top shoe comes in canvas upper with metal eyelets, rubber toe cap and vulcanized rubber sole. Recently, The Foundation, a multi-facetted organization designed to help curate and build fashion and lifestyle brands organizedan event where 200 party-goers got an up-close look at local artist putting their own spin on the classic Pro-Keds Royal High.

Each artist created a unique design on the Royal High and the custom kicks were auctioned off to the highest bidder with all proceeds benefiting Project for Progress charity which is centered around helping recovering communities. Guests enjoyed beverages courtesy of local brewery, Natty Greenes Brewing Company.
