Worlds Largest Sneaker Making and Consuming Countries

Do you own a pair of shoes? Then do you value them? Yes, many of us possess one or more pairs of shoes and truly value them. In fact, most of us indulge in designer shoes and it is one way of pampering ourselves after working so hard. Women are known to be crazy about shoes, that they become best friends second to diamond. Men on the other hand view shoes according to usage. Unlike women, men are not into shoes for the sake of fashion but they pay attention more on what their feet need from one occasion to another.

Whatever preferences you have when it comes to shoes, you can find the best pair from the wide range of styles, designs, and kinds available in the market today. Thanks to the fast growing sneaker industry for all the stylish shoes that we have now. But most of all, thanks to the world’s largest shoe-making country, China. According to survey, for the world’s annual output volume of 15,000,000,000 pair of shoes share, “Made in China” has more than 10,000,000,000 pairs.

In 2008, China has become the world’s largest production base and exporter of shoes. Based on a report, the Chinese shoe producers can make more than 10 billion pairs of shoes annually, making up nearly 70% of the world’s total output. Until today, China is producing billions of pairs that are to be distributed to the world’s largest shoe-consuming countries such as the USA, India, Japan, Brazil, Indonesia, France, Germany, UK, and Pakistan.

If China is leading in shoe manufacturing, Vietnam is next with 400 shoe companies, followed by India that boasts 500 large enterprises and 3500 small to medium enterprises, and Brazil with 7200 shoe companies. Along with these four giants, Italy, Spain and Portugal have an increasing shoe production.

When it comes to end-user, China is still on top of the list, considering that it is the most populated country, it has a greater demand. The world’s footwear products are mainly concentrated in the consumer market which is divided into two types of areas. One is economically advanced countries and regions such as the United States, the European Union, Japan and Canada. The other type falls on largely populated countries like China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, and so on.

This only shows that in terms of production and consumption, one country has monopolized the position being ranked on the top. Sneakers from leading brands are being manufactured in China, yet the concept that China-made products are lesser in quality compared to those manufactured in other countries still influence some consumers to be very picky. However, the importance of shoes and other footwear is more than its fashionable aspects. Shoes are essential because of various reasons. And shoes should be valued regardless of what brand it is, just how we value our feet.
