Puma is known for its sponsorship in African football wherein it supports a total of twelve national teams. Therefore, it is undeniable that it incorporates the essence of the 2010 World Cup in its products that most concerns on footwear, sneakers in particular.

Still in African concept, Puma has partnered with Kehinde Wiley in customizing a number of sneakers. If you have not known Wiley before, he is a New York-based painter who had been popular with his paintings of contemporary urban African American men in poses taken from the annals of history.

With Puma, Wiley rendered a traditional touch of African culture by creating vivid graphical patterns and nature figures such as birds and flowers including abstract designs. For the first pair of shoes, a bright illustration of birds and some theoretical figures were used on the upper, while the other pair displays a series of flying birds on an off-White canvas. This model sports a raveling ankle edges for a rugged impression. On the side panel of the sneaker is the stitched Puma logo and on the bottom is a rubber sole.

Accompanying the collection of sneakers is a set of slippers in even brighter colorways depicting the cat logo on the leaf.
