The debate really is if Kevin Durant is better than Kevin Garnett. OK, that might be a close one, but there is no doubt that KG has created a more enduring legacy than KD for lots of reasons. Getting the NBA Championship is one, and getting a lot of signature sneakers is another. The Nike Air 3 LE, formerly known as Air Max Garnett III, is a retro black colourway that leaves no room for any color. It does not really need it if you look at it. It is how it should be. The gradient textile of the Air 3 still shines out of the black.

Nike KD2 – CreamsiclesBy SneakerFreak on January 2nd, 2010 | No Comments
If you want evidence that the game is all about teamwork, look at the Oklahoma City Thunder. Their solidarity, shown by wearing the same shoes when playing, has given them their best record since moving from Seattle. That gives the Nike KD2 good exposure. This one has what is called the Creamsicle colourway. I mean look at it, need I say more. And if you look at the second picture, that is not camera error. The whole upper is reflective due to some 3M treatment. Now what would it look like if 5 guys wear this on the court and you take a snapshot?

Nike Air Force 1 Black IceBy SneakerFreak on January 2nd, 2010 | No Comments
New Year people, means that we got to have new kicks. Nike will release at the end of January the new Nike Air Force 1 Black Ice. This baby is just a simple, no non sense, black and white colourway. The white Air Force 1 midsole are distinctively featured on these pair as well. The sole is a translucent black gumsole that is why it’s called “Black Ice”. It looks like any other sneaker that you might have, but if you are an Air Force 1 purist or just a normal, everyday fanatic, then you has to get these. You can pre order one now at Nike online retailers.

Vans Aura 2010 – out of this worldBy SneakerFreak on January 2nd, 2010 | No Comments
Vans is starting off 2010 with their sneaker boots Aura collection that is sure to have heads turning for a second look. Michael Jordan will kill me, but these sneaker boots are what exactly I’d call Space Jam boots. It is very different and well, yeah out of this world, but not in a bad way. It’s just very unconventional with all the round press buttons that comes along with it.
This other wordly design comes in three different colorways of black, white, green and brown, all in contrast with white accents except the brown pair. . If Vans is starting out the year with these kicks, I guess all the more we have to look forward to what they have to offer us for the rest of this year.

Tretorn Krona for Spring of 2k10By SneakerFreak on January 2nd, 2010 | No Comments
Tretorn opens the year by offering their Krona collection. Two of the three models are now available – the low top that comes in canvas as well as in suede. The low Krona comes in different color ways, one of which is an 80’s inspired canvas top, that works well with short pants. Two comes in monotone colors of yellow and black, where as the other one is splashed with candy cane red and black pattern for the upper and a the same candy cane pattern with blue and black for the tongue. A very interesting collection from Tretorn to start off the year.

New Balance Tropical Cocktail PackBy SneakerFreak on January 2nd, 2010 | No Comments
Here comes a preview of New Balance’s new kicks to hit us this 2010. The new collection is called the Tropical Cocktail Pack. I’m sure you already know why it earned its name. Apparently, New Balance decided to take it at another level, their desire to come up with durable and fashionable kicks, that is. The pack includes the brands P600 and C1001 models, classic runner and basketball silhouette designs. The different and contrasting materials were also very interesting, along with the mix of vibrant colors, that makes these kicks even more noticeable.
Personally, I think the designers were drinking cocktails while they were conceptualizing these kicks. I don’t mean that in a negative way because it looks like the cocktails definitely brought out their best, that is if my hunch is true.
