Pau Gasol was a big part of the 2009 NBA Champions, the Los Angeles Lakers. With all of the Player Exclusives Kobe Bryant has received over the years, its finnaly about time that Pau Gasol gets one from Nike. This shoe contains the obvious colors with purple and gold. The flywire design, tongue and outsole are colored with purple. Gold is placed on the Nike swoosh, shoe laces, and near the midsole. The shoes if wrapped up with a white midsole and purple outsole. Im pretty sure most of you would love to ball in these and you will have your chance as these are to be released to the public this November at House of Hoops locations.

If you see team green and red on the same shoe it is most often inspired by the famous Luxury brand, Gucci. Gucci is one of the most luxurious brand around the world and are know famous for there Handbags. This Gucci inspired shoe features a green and black upper made of leather with a team red patent leather swoosh. This outstanding shoe is finished off with a white midsole and black outsole to give the shoe a nice look. This is another great shoe that is inspired after the Gucci color scheme. This pair is pretty popular with athletes, in fact Lamar Odom was seen sporting a pair. I thought the colorway is delightful. But the construction is even more impressive.  These sneakers are a real hit! Original design by Tinker Hatfield, this version was first released in 1989 as the first Nike Air Jordan shoes released to the international market. It features a cushioning sole that largely attributed to its becoming a worldwide bestseller.  In 1999, a retro version of the collection included a white/black colorway and a black/cement colorway. A feedback, however, was noted with many of the fans complaining about particular changes and accused the company of “destroying a classic”.

Then again in 2006,Nike released several variations of the Air Jordan IV, including the “Mars Blackmons, the Mist blue color and all white and all black sets. The latest retro collection retails at $315.

I have never been a fan of all-white sneakers  but this pair I thought is an exception. Supposedly rooted from the culture of the streets and gangs, Android Homme Propulsion Hi in White is uniquely fashionable. From Lanvin’s Fall/Winter 2009 collections comes the Mid Top Boat sneakers. This high top boat shoe features a leather lace that goes around the ankle; and a navy and brown upper and white sole . For approximately $800 a pair, this collection has been seen being patronized by rap artists and other celebrities. Personally, my overall impression is that it looks comfortable enough to wear for prolonged periods.  And with the high top design, I would like to believe that it gives ample support for walking around. I do like the colorway involved in this pair, it somehow reminds me of those afternoons hiking in the woods. But of course, this collection is designed specifically for street-wear.
