  • Rome II Nike Dunk Lows

Designer kawooool is competing with Interaxionne (covered in my post yesterday) in the first round of the 2009 Clash of the Customizers. The designer’s entry in this competition is the Rome II Dunk Lows, based on the work of abstract artist Al Held. You can vote for Interaxionne or kawooool at the Clash of the Customizers website linked here.

Kawooool put the art in sneaker art by replicating Held’s “Rome II” on the middle panel. The complex and colorful painting translates well to these custom Dunks thanks to the agile hands of the designer. The middle panels are surrounded by sea foam suede and overlapped by clear Nike swooshes. You can see the Nike swoosh’s outline due to kawooool’s use of white stitching around the edges.

While Interaxionne may be better known the kawooool among MAS readers, the latter designer’s Rome II Nike Dunks show his ability to swing with the best. It takes a real artist to recreate a great abstract work and incorporate this work seamlessly within a custom shoe design. The Rome II Nike Dunk Lows should make this matchup more competitive than others in the first round of the 2009 Clash of the Customizers.

Nike Air Hoop Structure LE – White – Navy – Red

This Hoop Structure is towering over the earth like a skyscraper. This tower is rising up to the heavens like a falcon. This falcon is rending the hearts of Nike’s competitors like a lion.

This is just such a marvel that not even the beasts and fowl in the jungle can compete with it in terms of wildness and power. It is simply a supernal sample of supremacy from Nike, breaking the necks of all sneakerheads as heads are turned and eyes pop. This is a magnificent masterpiece the equal of which has never been seen before.

    Catch it from eBay.

  • styledefined.blogspot.com: the definitive blog on style

    styledefinedheaderform

Style is serious business. And creating it requires nothing short of genius. Let the genius creator of styledefined.blogspot.com speak for herself.

“I started Style Defined because everyone was saying at the time that London had better street fashion than New York City. NYC had gotten too rich and cared too much about labels. I knew the people who said that were wrong and prove it by showing those who have their own sense of style that has nothing to do with money and everything to do with creativity. Since so much creativitiy happens in clubs I try to switch out between shooting on the streets and in the clubs and now we’ve added interviews of emerging designers and artists. We’re going to publish a magazine this July that show some of the best street style photos and some of the club shots that didn’t make it to the blog as well.”
