  • Nike Dunk Low – White – Green Woven
    By on April 5th, 2009 | 3 Comments3 Comments Comments

This pair is all about green, Bright, deep, full and mesmerizing green that catches the eyes immediately with it power and purity. Only Nike could have expressed so much with such a simple color, and such a simple touch. We are impressed, and it is not because we are impressed easily.

This pair follows the tradition of the Nike Dunk Lows that we had examined previously in these pages. With woven side panels, and the combination of green and white for purposes of contrast, we have a spectacular sample that screams power in elegance, beauty in simplicity as its motto.

The pair will be available at Size?, and we don’t think that you’re gonna risk losing your chance of obtaining a pair of this opulence. Go catch them as soon as possible, you won’t be dissapointed!

  • Incredible Hulk Nike Dunks

Custom designer THIRST took on the Incredible Hulk in his latest sneaker art project. THIRST offers a close-up look at the Hulk’s green skin after the transformation of mild-mannered Bruce Banner in these Nike Dunks. Instead of phoning in a simplistic design based on this popular Marvel character, THIRST used the Incredible Hulk Nike Dunks to focus on his raw power.

The toe, eyelet and collar are painted green to simulate the Hulk’s skin. THIRST added veins and sinews on these sections to separate his Dunks from the competition. The designer used gray punctuated with black lines on the middle panel to simulate the broken concrete that suffered during Banner’s transformation.

My favorite part of the Incredible Hulk Nike Dunks is the distressed purple denim used on the tongue and ankle wrap. THIRST’s commitment to distressing and stitching this denim to his custom Dunks takes these shoes to the next level. The Incredible Hulk Nike Dunks expand on traditional views of this character, showing his brute force with the consequences of his rage. You can reach THIRST for your own comic book customs at [email protected].

  • Nike 1World X Michael Lau Air Crazy Force 1

Michael Lau has set up a special, highly visual gallery in Hong Kong for visitors to literally “feel” the shoe.  Quilted tunnel walls, with peepholes, were designed to let the a person view from inside out, Lau’s creative exhibits.  Lau is quoted as saying, “This project was very special to me because the 1World AF1 Project has allowed me to honor the legacy of Nike Air Force 1 in my own crazy way.”

The shoe does not disappoint.  It is designed with some laser customizations, and the quilted pattern is indeed a work of art, as at every joint of every square , there is another design, and the shoe just continues to unfold as a “crazy quilt” is known to do.  Each shoe comes with  a little toy.  The shoe represents a prison or mental hospital and the little guy is scheming to be set free.  A fun shoe with all the quality of a Nike Air Force 1.

In the middle of the night, when I turned on the computer to read about the latest models, I encountered three blazing samples shining in the dark. At first I had trouble deciding what they were, but then, the only kind of blazing design I know is the Nike, and I was quick to recognize it as the Nike Sportswear Blazer High Lite.

This light, swift, and stylish design comes in three colorways, with equal attention to detail and commitment to beauty. The eye is drawn immediately to the beautiful colors, the harmonious contours and the aerodynamic form of these pairs, and it’s hard to wake out of the magic.

The material is very suitable to the coming months of summer, when they are expected to be released. Via HighSnobriety.
