Visvim is the leader of the upscale lifestyule sneakers category, and we can see the reason of their supremacy. A very creative design, but there’s no excess in this type of creativity. A very beautiful design, but there’s no ornament in this beauty. A classic, but it looks like it is a youth out of the designer’s table yesterday.

The influence of Visvim is pervasive, and deep. The motto and style of this brand is being copied by newcomers, but the difficulty of matching such a unique concept makes all the effort futile.

Except for the effort at catching a pair of these at FIL flagships on Asia. Try your chance. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime, and you won’t miss yours, right? Via Hiroki Nakamura.

  • Raphael Nike Dunks

Sideview Customs customized some Nike Dunks in February with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme. You can see Sideview’s previous TMNT work linked here complete with Michelangelo’s orange colors. I found the follow-up Raphael Nike Dunks at the Sideview Customs Nike Talk post linked here.

The designer brought back the detailed green scales around toes and heel wraps that made the TMNT Dunks successful. Sideview Customs kept the middle panel and toe box yellow to make the green and red elements stand out. Raphael’s red bandanna is honored with matching Nike symbols, shoe laces and midsoles.

The TMNT Dunks by Sideview Customs played on the humor brought by Michelangelo to this group of crime-fighting turtles. The designer did a great job matching the Raphael Nike Dunks to the mood of its muse. The Raphael Nike Dunks fit well with the turtle’s brooding manner by keeping the colors simple and the design clean.

  • Lupe Fiasco x Converse PRODUCT (RED) Chuck Taylor

If you were to take this pair, plunge it into a pot of liquid clay, the resulting pattern would be indistinguishable from the feet of a giant. If you were take these, and hang them from flagpoles, eagles would salute them as the king of air. And if you take one of these, and throw them among a pack of sneakerheads, beware of cannibalism after the battle.

This is just hot. Serious, stern, and spartan, it looks like the foundation of a castle on the clouds rather than the footwear of a human being. But Converse loves to convert us to fanatics of the brand, and what else can we be when facing such a marvel?

Seek these at davidz, but catch them in your dreams. Unless you take a plane, or steal the wings of an eagle, they’ll be gone before you make the move. Via. Nicekicks.

Hmm…who doesn’t love those colorful candies? And who doesn’t love this cute, colorful, and vigorous pair from Reebok? We’re speechless, but our jaw keeps babbling under the shock of witnessing this creation. Yes, this is a jawdropping design.

At a time when old models are refashioned and reformed under new names, and sold to sneaker lovers as new creations, the creativity of Reebok is like a cup of cold water in a desert of boredom.  They are free, wild, and brave, and unashamedly so.

State your attitude with your choice of pair. This one is a lovely masterpiece. We’ll update you on when you can own yours. via HB.

  • Nike Air Max 90 – White Croc Skin

Um…the jaws of the Nike crocodile are wide open now. When they’re closed, all that will be left of Nike’s competitors will be bones and dust we’re afraid.

What to make of this supreme design that features crocodile skin on top of rock solid design that appears capable of splitting rocks with a single kick? What is the meaning of the power behind this concept? Where did the inspiration come from?

The design is inspired by Nike’s champions, young and old,.new or seasoned, and to the mentality that keeps the Nike team at the top of the mountain, regardless of the practices of its competitors. The meaning is victory: The undefeatable spirit of achievement.

Get these from Mentalkicks, or Osneaker, but don’t get caught by crocodiles while you try that. Nor can you blame us if you get bitten by fellow sneakerheads during the fight. Buyer beware.

  • Nike Considered Zoom MVP Trash Talk – House of Hoops Exclusive
By on April 18th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

    nike-mvp-trashtalk-01

Inspired by Steve Nash, and his various exploits and endeavors, this pair is a testimony to the ageless message of Nike and sportsmanship. Beat your opponents, crush them, defeat all on your path, but do not shrink from lending a hand to the downtrodden once you are victorious.

This pair constructed of leather and synthetics collected from trash of other pairs symboplizes that message perfectly. Rejuvenation from despair, new life from destruction, compassion in conquest are all the hallmarks of this concept.

This is like a philosophy in a powerful body. the first exposition will be at the House of Hoops on Earth Day, April 22nd. Via Freshness.
