The main toe box at the front has tiny holes. The same stealth colored leather is used for the mudguard. This guard is shaped in the fashion of a backing framework that hems in the toe box. The shoe lace panel has an underlying layer in white. The double layer produces a lattice like effect that looks good. The midsection has large perforations that are so regularly spaced that they form a pattern.

The white Nike swoosh is fairly horizontal to the streamline flow of the shoe. The midsole is decorated with white, red, light grey and dark grey. The high collar has a special pair of lace braces. The tongue is in grey to blend in with the rest of the shoe. The tag at the tongue is large and stretches up to the high collar of the sneaker.

Surprised so are we? This sample looks nothing like the catalog images posted last month. The sketch we saw earlier looked like the Frenchie VIIs; same color blocking but with a different colorway of course. This sample clearly draws inspiration from the Orlando Magic’s away uniform, black with white pinstripes.

Nevertheless, this is what we have before us, and at first glance, they reminded me of the LeBron Yankee Vs. The Black Barons (Away) didn’t even cross my mind. The Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, Washington is known nationally, particularly the flying fish that move from one fishmonger to another. The colors of the Pike Place P.H.I.S.H. Air Max 90 are inspired by the sights and sounds of the Seattle marketplace. The green swoosh is taken from the Pike Place Market logo. Bespoke used gray on the toe box and around the collar to simulate the gray skies of rainy Seattle while the navy blue laces symbolize the nearby ocean. Bespoke added orange on the Nike swoosh and overlay to simulate the fishing attire worn by the market’s mongers.

I like the fact that Bespoke Sneaker Gallery used impressions of the marketplace rather than specific imagery. Sneaker fans who want the Pike Place P.H.I.S.H.
