  • 60+ (Sixty Plus) Air Jordan VII Pack
By on February 5th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Just as Jordan introduced the 60+,( a hybrid shoe combining the shoes Michael wore while he scored 60 or more points), they break news of a 60+ Air Jordan VII Package. On March 4, 1993 against the Orlando Magic Mike scored 64 points, so we know one of the shoes in the package will feature an Orlando Magic color way of white, royal blue, and black. The other VII included in the package is a re retro of the black, red, and purple or Raptor VII. If you just can’t get down with the packs or some of the color ways, you’ve got to admit it’s nice for JB to finally start bringing back the classics. Stay tuned for more info. VIA: NT

  • Lost in the Clouds Dunks
By on February 5th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

JBF Customs took some liberties in creating the Lost in the Clouds Nike Dunks. JBF’s client asked for a pair of custom Dunks with bright colors to emulate loosely the designer’s Misguided Dunks. You can get in touch with JBF at [email protected] if you want him to freestyle on your Nikes.

The Misguided Dunks featured a red/blue design with crazy arrows pointing every which way on the middle panel. On the Lost in the Clouds Dunks, JBF followed this pattern a bit but went off in another direction by the time these customs were finished. The middle panel features a series of arrows in addition to puffy white clouds set against a deep blue sky.

The top of the heel is white and the bottom is black to break up the red/blue colorway. While JBF was not happy with the hint of green coming off the collar, the Lost in the Clouds Dunks look better than the Misguided Dunks. The introduction of clouds with the white arrows in the middle panel looks pretty dynamic, reminding me of airplanes cutting through cloud cover. You can look at JBF Customs work at the Facebook page linked here to see what the designer has done in the past.

  • Nike Air Classic BW Blue Sapphire
By on February 5th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

The Nike Air Classic BW Blue Sapphire has been re-issued. This shoe was first created in the 1990s. The latest issue has a fresh colorway to keep up with the times. JD Sports sells this shoe for $120. This is a good bargain for a running shoe.

The Nike Air Classic BW starts with a black toe box in fabric. The double layer of mudguard is in black and white. The perimeter of the mud guard forms an interesting border of black and white. The frame of the shoe lace hole is in black leather and it defines the midsection too. The black colored tongue ends with a blue colored tip and blends in with the blue collar at the ankle.

The shoe has a collar at the ankle. The bright blue is a nice accent. The white stripe aligns itself with the white layer of the mud guard. The Nike swoosh runs over the striped mudguard. Nike’s running shoes have thick midsoles and this pair has one with blue accents. The blue strip in the midsole coordinates with the blue colored collar of the shoe. The back tab has a strip of black that is decorated by blue lettering of “Air Max”. This is a good looking running shoe. (Images)
