Take a look at this release from Asics that is part of their 2009 Spring/Summer collection. The Asics Pro Court Boots combine some elements of ’80s style and new school color combinations.
Using patent leather and other materials, some of these kicks also feature the speckled look on the midsole, which has been a hot trend once again in 2009. Available in serveral colorways, you can get these now at Gettry. Via Hypebeast.
The latest colorways for the Air Jordan Fusion 6 will be released on February 21. They will be sold at retailers.
Let’s look at the Air Jordan Fusion 6 black/walnut/court-blue colorway shoe. This costs $175 per pair. The toe box and midsection are in colorful mosaics of triangular shaped pieces. These are attractive and even the seams are joined together in decorative stitching. The frame for the upper is in black leather. That is fine to set off the colored panels. The shoe strap across the collar of the ankle looks good as an ornamental feature. The fabric material matches with that of the Nike swoosh. The back tab has another strap that is convenient to use to carry the shoe around. The solid midsole in dark blue and the outsole in beige end the design perfectly.
The other shoe in this pack of releases is the Air Jordan Fusion 6 black/white/electrolime. This sells for $160 per pair. The upper is predominantly white. There are clusters of perforations on the toe box, mudguard, and midsection. These groups of air holes form pattern details. The heel of the shoe is in striking black color. The shoe strap across the collar of the ankle is also black and this works perfectly. The midsole is of course in dark blue. (Images)
The Nike Zoom LeBron 6 “Taxi” has a yellow and black colorway, using the colors of the famous yellow and black cab. Osneaker is selling this shoe for $250.
The body of the shoe is black. The toe box is surrounded by a yellow frame which extends over the shoe lace panel in an arc or strap. The shoe lace is in black and white plaid. The black tongue ends in a yellow tag that says “The Six”. There is a fierce looking graphic embroidered on the tongue.
The collar at the ankle has the grey and silver checks pattern. The traditional tag of LeBron James is attached in a silver panel. The Nike swoosh is silver. The midsole has three lines of machine stitches running around its perimeter. This provides detail to the design. The outsole is yellow, black and grey. The yellow treads and grey treads are separate segments that have been fitted together. The Nike swoosh is included in the outsole in a clever design that is complementary on the left shoe and right shoe.
The back of the heel has been taken care of with intricate design features. There is an ornamental yellow shoe strap across the back tab. This is a great looking shoe. (Images)
SpongeBob SquarePants was at the center of a debate between Ripp and D@ Prince Customs in a recent MAS post. D@ Prince promised a new pair of customs that would “kill the game” in the post linked here. He created the Krusty Krab Pizza Baby AF1s for a customer in Alabama who is a fan of the funny, spongy cartoon character. These photos were found at D@ Prince’s Nike Talk post linked here.
Instead of relying on the image of SpongeBob for the shoe’s design, D@ Prince used his favorite episode of the show entitled “Pizza Delivery.” This episode features a hilarious song called “The Krusty Krab Pizza” as Squidward and SpongeBob deliver the first Krusty Krab Pizza. D@ Prince took a single scene from the episode and applied it to these Baby AF1s.
D@ Prince’s innovative approach to the SpongeBob theme was possible due to his deft touch and eye for detail. While I leave it to MAS readers to judge if D@ Prince killed the competition with the Krusty Krab Pizza Baby AF1s, I was impressed by the designer’s work in this case. The rich colors and expressive character faces on these Baby AF1s look like they lept right off the TV screen.
Check out these perforated Nike Air Max 90s. The upper utilizes a perforated look comprised mostly of suede. The result is a shoe that looks relaxed and comfortable enough to wear almost anywhere.
The color scheme for these shoes is dark grey and blue, with the blue appearing in various locations including along the laces, around the air pocket and on the side of the shoe in the form of an Air Max logo. The dark Nike swoosh sits quietly on top of the grey perforated suede. Although there is no set release date for these sneakers, expect them to be available in the next few months. Via Nice Kicks.
If you aren’t afraid to rock imaginative colors, check out these Nike Sportswear Dunk Hi Premium kicks in burgundy. These Dunks feature a myriad of textures and stand out purple laces. These sneakers are definitely not for the faint of heart.
These shoes hit Nike Sportswear boutiques such as 21 Mercer, DQM and Atmos in New York, as well as UNDFTD out west earlier this week. Priced at $108, they aren’t a bad deal at all for a premium pair of kicks. Via Complex.
