    Nike Terminator Hybrid

We’re pretty much used to Nike mixing together old models or what we would say “classics” to create new creations that stun people! We also saw some classics being updated with new technology to revive them. The Terminator Hybrids are different because they boast a complete overhaul! It has parts from Free, ACG and a mix of basketball stuff. This was enabled by the use of the flexible Free midsole with a rubber outsole for grip and the uppers feature rugged materials with tough stitching. Check out more colourways after the jump.

LeBron James was selected to the NBA East All-Star Team. LeBron, as the current All-Star Game MVP, will be the leader to battle against the present MVP Kobe Bryant and the West. For this special game, Nike Basketball collaborated with LeBron to design the Nike Zoom LeBron VI. The colors were chosen to match his All Star jersey. The toe cap has a fading blue theme to represent Phoenix, which is hosting the special game. The NBA All Star Game is on Sunday, February 15. LeBron James will be wearing this pair of shoes. The game will be very exciting. The performance of this sneaker will be judged too.

The tongue is made of mesh fabric in the same dark blue to blend in with the shoe upper. The tag at the end of the tongue is an accent in light blue and has two logos on it. The shoe lace looks good in plaid. The back of the heel has a short strap in the same light blue as at the tongue. The midsole is white with three liens of stitching for details. The outsole tries to be unique in its dark blue and white pattern. (Images)

  • HighRoad Dunk Lows

JBF Customs ventured into the world of fabric design with the HighRoad Dunk Lows. While the designer used new materials on his latest Dunks, we can still see some of the signature elements of a JBF Customs shoe. I found these photos at JBF’s Nike Talk post linked here.

JBF stitched some gray fabric around the toe and middle panel using red and blue thread. On the middle panel, the designer resorted to colorful abstract images that he has used in previous shoes. The swirls of blue, red and green play off the white Nike swoosh and the gray fabric to create a dynamic piece of sneaker art.

I am always impressed by JBF’s ability to turn basic shapes and colors into fantastic customs. The HighRoad Dunk Lows are impeccably designed and neatly finished to exceed the client’s expectations. The HighRoad Dunk Lows prove that JBF Customs can move one step forward into new materials without sacrificing quality.
