If you are a fan of thrash metal, there’s a good chance you are a fan of the band Slayer. Along with Anthrax, Metallica and Megadeth, Slayer is regarded as one of the most popular thrash metal bands of all-time. These sneakers pay homage to Slayer and use the art from the cover of the album “Decade of Aggression”.

Produced by Vans and using a SK8-Hi model, these kicks are sure to be a hit with Slayer fans. The main colors seen in these shoes are black, white, red and gold — although there are many different colors at work. Expect these sneaks to be released in spring 2009. Via Hypebeast.

  • Tiffany Nike Mad Jibes
By on December 10th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

TWiTCH Customs turned Nike’s Mad Jibe boat shoes into sneaker art with a Tiffany theme recently. The designer posted his latest work in the Nike Talk post linked here. The Tiffany Mad Jibes will be presented at a Sole Assassins event in Long Beach, CA on Saturday, December 13th.

The original Mad Jibes featured a turquoise/white colorway that would look good on a beach house dock. TWiTCH kept the turquoise sole from the original Mad Jibes and extended this color to the toe box and middle panel. He also added black rippled leather to distinguish these comfortable but stylish sneakers from the stodgier pairs produced by Nike.

TWiTCH will be selling a pair of the Tiffany Mad Jibes in size 10US at this weekend’s Sole Assassins event. If you are in the Long Beach area, you can see the prolific designer’s fine work in person. While Nike was hoping to turn the boat shoe into something cool with the Mad Jibe, it took TWiTCH to take these shoes to the next level.

    Reebok Pump Omni - Snowman

If winter has got you down, you can start to enjoy it with these sneakers that are nicknamed Snowman. And once you take a look at them, you can see exactly why. The colors, designs and textures on this shoe does a good job encapsulating the essence of winter.

The Reebok Pump Omni model is usually popular and these kicks should be no different. The colorway on these shoes are white, steel grey and shiny Carolina blue. There is fur located around the ankle and on the side of the shoe to add to the winter feel. The icy blue sole on the bottom reveals what looks to be the footprint of the Abominable snowman. And of course, a pump is located on the tongue. You can get these at Overkill for about $157 USD.

    here.

The Nike Air Penny 2 Miami Heat colorway is a commemorative shoe for Penny Hardaway. Hardaway played in 16 games for Miami Heat in 2007. Hardaway contributed a lot on the basketball court, to NBA and the world of basketball shoes. Nike has designed this sneaker to pay tribute to their sponsored player. Nike considers Penny Hardaway as one of their best protégés in the sponsorship program. This design is expected to hit the shelves in 2009. Look for it in the Nike website. There may be more news when it approaches closer to the release date.

The black colorway on the upper looks classy. The shoe lace region and inner upper perimeter is outlined in red border. The tongue is in pin strips and ends with a black colored tag. The midsole is unique with its rising white hump to fit into the natural hollow of the foot. The heel and tip of tongue have nylon slings in black and white pattern. The outsole is red, with embedded black colored concentric strips. You can see part of the air cushion technology embedded inside the heel. Zoom Air is proudly embossed on the outsole. I think the white high midsole is the outstanding feature and selling point of this basketball sneaker.
