As you might know 2009 will mark Adidas’ 60th anniversary. To celebrate, they have created some very special sneakers. In high-end style, they are releasing the “Diamond” pack featuring the Adidas classic, Superstar model.

This sneaker comes in a classic white and black colorway with lots of luxurious touches. On each shoe you will find six 0.2 carat diamonds in between the black stripes on the outer side.

Additionally, there are adornments embellished with Swarovski crystals used to accent the lace locks and tongues. These ornaments can be removed and actually worn as pendants. These shoes are expected to be released at Adidas Originals retailers in Taiwan along with special editor T-shirts. These shoes will cost you a pretty penny at about $721 USD ($24,000 TWD). DC Shoes has released their LIFE collection for the holidays. The collection features both the Sector 7 and the Admiral High model in luxurious makeups.

Featuring premium grey nubuck, perforated side panels, black woven effect pattent leather toes and waxed laces, these kicks look slick. The Admiral features a blue foam-padded tongue and padded collar for extra comfort and support, along with performance cup sole construction for strength and flexibility.

The Sector 7, which also has touches of blue to accent the grey and black makeup, is almost nice enough to double as a dress shoe. It features a white bottom with DC’s trademark pill pattern. The sole design offers excellent contact, wear and flexibility.

The Nike Blue Chip has been a popular choice for players all around the NBA since it was introduced this past fall. We spotted these sneakers on Kevin Durant back in October and he’s just one of the many NBA athletes that have worn the model this season.

If you have been looking to get these special PEs of the new Nike Blue Chip, Nike Basketball has you covered. To honor some of the young talents in the league, they have created black suede versions with the nicknames of the athletes stitched on the side. The sharp contrast of the black with the colorful accents is very nice.

It’s certainly clear now that the Air Jordan I will continue to get special treatment in 2009. With news of new Jordan Is being surfacing almost weekly this week wouldn’t start right if we hadn’t brought you this freshly leaked news. Jordan Brand continues to draw from its roots, this time going back to 1992. When the Air Jordan VII was first released, they were marketed using commercials featuring Air Jordan and Bugs Bunny who was exploring the differences between Air Jordan (MJ) and hare Jordan (Bugs Bunny).

Looking at the catalog images its clear to see there will be two different color ways, one pair will come in stealth/black-light silver-pink clay-white while the other will be featured in a white/light silver-true red color way. A ‘Hare” Jordan graphic also replaces the regular Jumpman on the tongue label. The tongue also features a pattern used on the VII. Jordan8420 hits us with another early look at an upcoming Nike SB. This Premium Mid is scheduled for a 2009 release and takes its inspiration from what call the best invention ever, the Television. They wear a rather somber color way of dark brown, grey and light green. At first glance its near impossible to tell what these represent but the pixel elated graphic on the insole does a better job of conveying the message. A few pairs are available at Jordan8420 but will be widely available next spring.
