Only two players were seen to wearing the Columbia Air Jordan XI, Kevin Garnett during the 95-96 season and of course Michael Jordan, but this size 12 Air Jordan XI was created for an unknown Jordan Brand athlete. The samples comes with the original sample box and is in good condition for the time it has been around.

  • Nike Blue Chip – Kevin Durant – OKC Thunder PE
By on October 15th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Kevin Durant has already been pushed into the limelight as a potential candidate to be Nike’s next big signature athlete, after signing a deal with the Swoosh last year, Durant put up big numbers while playing for a sub-par Seattle Supersonics team. A year later the team has moved from Seattle to Oklahoma City, changed it’s name from the Supersonics to the Thunder, and drastically changed it’s colors. It seems Nike wasted little time in getting the new colors of the jersey from the Thunder as they already have KD wearing his next shoe the Blue Chip in an Oklahoma City Thunder colorway while playing in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

  • Nike Blazer High George ‘Iceman’ Gervin
By on October 14th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

This is a limited edition of George “Iceman” Gervin Blazer Hi. This shoe was designed to honor George Gervin. This will be released at the House of Hoops (HOH) soon. The shoe’s colorway is inspired by the colors of San Antonio Spurs.

The toe box is a small area that is marked off by two double lines of machine stitches. The shoe upper is grey with white accents. The shoe lace and Nike swoosh are the white accents. On the background of the swoosh, there is a figure of a basketball player with two balls in his hands. This is supposed to be the outline figure of “Iceman.” There are several lines of machine stitches across the midsection. These attempt to give some details to the otherwise plain colored shoe upper.

The back tab is a square piece of black leather with white letters to spell “Ice.” The central strip of white leather running down the back of the heel make the shoe look like it has a cross at the heel. The midsole and outsole are grey colored. The color scheme of the shoe looks icy cool. The showpiece had a different method of tying the shoe lace; with the threading straight across the holes. This method of shoe lace tying is according to individual preferences.

  • Ptr. Artworkz Air Force Ones
By on October 14th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The designer behind Ptr. Artworkz has been hard at work on a pair of custom sneakers for his own use. The result of his latest work is a pair of neon green/gray Air Force Ones pictured in this post. You can find out more about Ptr. Artworkz by checking out his blog linked here.

These Air Force Ones may not seem like much but the mixture of colors gives this shoe a life of its own. The gray panels contrast from the white middle panels and toe boxes to jolt these AF1s out of the doldrums. Ptr. Artworkz decided to shock the senses further by using neon green laces, swooshes and heel tags to complete his personal customs.

I have highlighted far more elaborate shoes in my posts but Ptr. Artworkz has done a serviceable job here. While the work is flawless and the colors interesting, I would hope that Ptr. Artworkz would aspire to more when creating his own customs. My guess is that the demands of his other customs may have left him little time to complete an elaborate pair of Air Force Ones for his own use.
