  • Adidas ZX 9000 and Adidas ZX 7000

The pictures show the new Adidas ZX 9000 and Adidas ZX 7000. Each pair costs 119,00 EUR at The Good Will Out website. The ZX 9000 is the off-white model and the ZX 7000 is the black/anthracite colorway.

Let’s look at the ZX 7000. The toe box is covered in a mesh network. Over this, there are a few small panels of black leather. This design looks good because the mesh looks like a protective covering for the toe box. The shoe lace region is unique. It starts with 2 sets of holes on an outer reinforcement. The middle portion of the strip of shoe lace holes is set on anthracite-grey colored leather. The shoe lace has a line of machine stitching down its center. The midsection of the shoe is in black fabric. Over this, the three traditional stripes of Adidas are attached. The heel has a cap of the same design as the toe box. Over this, a black brace is attached. The midsole has 5 ridges as a decorative design below the toe box. At the heel, lines are etched into the midsole. The Adidas leaf logo is at the tip of the tongue.

The Adidas ZX 9000 has the same features as the ZX 7000. The colors used are white and off-white. I prefer the shoe with the color, ie, the ZX 7000.

  • New Balance Crackle 574s
By on September 2nd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

I found the latest shoes offered by Chrisco on his Nike Talk post linked here. One of my favorite shoes over the last year writing for MyAirShoes was Chrisco’s Stormtrooper customs. His New Balance Crackles may not have the retro appeal of the Stormtroopers but they are great to look at nonetheless.

You can see hints of the gray suede 574s in the toes as well as the back panels. Chrisco added faded black cracks on the gray suede that vary from solid lines to barely visible gaps. Plenty of designers use cracks and gaps on their shoes but Chrisco seems to have bypassed these artists in terms of planning and execution.

Chrisco did not stop at black cracks when designing these Crackle customs. The tongue logo is a closed fist with a green lightning bolt that looks great against the black leather. Chrisco also used neon green laces that contrast greatly with the simple gray suede. I am a big fan of the Crackle 574s even after Chrisco set the bar high with his last pair of customs.

First images hit the web on July 4th but now we have pictures of the final version. It likes like Brand Jordan make a couple minor changes that helped improve the overall look of the shoe. The purple stitching adds nice contrast to the black suede upper. It also helps bring out catcus and violet cement print around the toe cap and heel. Last but not least they added a nice translucemt catcus green sole.
Sorry Spiz’ike fans the too will be a “Euro exclusive” but a few pairs are up for grabs at Marqueesole No exact release date yet,So check up on your favorite Europeam site regularly. You might be surprised.

  • Air Jordan True Flight

The Air Jordan True Flight looks like Air Jordan 7 but it is an updated version. True Flight has a flatter sole with herringbone pattern for a good grip. Zoom Air technology is used for higher performance cushioning. The Air Jordan True Flight will be released for sale on Jan. 17 for $140.

The toe box aligns itself straight upwards with the tongue. There is a central strip of leather that runs upwards from the base of the toe box. The width between the shoe lace holes is wide to show off the tongue. The tongue is black with red thread machine stitching. At the higher tip of the tongue, the flap spreads upwards into a large panel, lined with a thin, red border. There is a figure of Air Jordan, done in white. The side of the shoe has interlocking panels of leather that have outlines sewn in red stitches. At the side of the heel, there is another figure of Air Jordan. This time, it is done in red. The midsole is interesting. The most striking part of the midsole is in the accents or red, grey and white.
