    Atmos x New Balance 576 Iridescent - #2

As part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the New Balance 576, New Balance hooked up with Atmos to create a hologram edition of the shoe. The iridescent black shoes are accented with pink elephant print at the heel, hot pink on the tongue and other colorful touches. The liner of these shoes features a gradient rainbow pattern.

If you are a fan of the 576, these shoes are a hot choice. They will be releasing at Atmos on September 11th. Via Atmos.

  • Nike Air Zoom Encore x Red Bull

These are special Nike 6.0 sneakers developed for the Red Bull Music Academy. Fifty pairs of the Nike Air Zoom Encore shoes were laser engraved with the Red Bull logo and presented to lucky people during the RBMA event in Atlanta in May 2008.

The toe box is light grey and has perforations. The mudguard at the toe cap is shiny blue while the mudguard between the toe cap and midsection is white leather. The Red Bull twin bulls logo is laser engraved on the white leather. The shoe lace is dark blue in color and it matches the shiny blue accent at the midsection of the shoe. The main midsection is in light grey. The Nike swoosh is in bright white and it stands out.

The back tab is a panel of shiny red leather that has “Nike” on it in yellow outlines. The base of the heel is also in shiny red leather. The midsole is white. The lower layer of the midsole is red for three quarters of the shoe while the base has an outline of yellow for its lower midsole. The inner sole is in dark blue. I like the use of blue accents as it provides a blue framework look for the shoe.

Supra Footwear Muska Skytop - #1

Supra continues to churn out hot designs and cool colorways. Here are two new colors of the Muska Skytop. The first features a white upper accented with red and silver. The red is inset into the side panels, as well as used on the sole and other places.

The second shoe is a Supra TUF Muska Skytop featuring black waxed canvas and a white sole. These shoes are simple and chic. You can get both colorways now at Caliroots. The black canvas version is 1.299 SEK (about $215 USD) and the white sneakers are 1.199 SEK (about $198 USD). Supra is really staking a claim in the sneaker industry with some fantastic choices as of late. Via Kicks On Fire.

  • Upcoming Air Jordan True Flight – Black/Red/White
By on September 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

This shoe clearly looks much like the Air Jordan 7 but is updated wish a flatter sole with herringbone traction for a better grip and Zoom Air for higher performance cushioning. Some blurry catalog scans have leaked, but these shoes deserve to be seen properly for a first impression. The Air Jordan True Flight will take off January 17th for $140. The concept of a retro Jordan with the performance of today’s has been a hope of mine for quite a few years.

  • Nike Zoom Sharkley “701″ – Teal/Aqua/Gray
By on September 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The Nike Zoom Sharkley has been one of Nike Basketball’s biggest hits of the summer. The shoe boasts everything one could possibly want: comfort from Zoom Air cushioning, unique design, familiar shape, and a sub-$100 price tag. A few special make-ups were released over the summer at the House of Hoops, but this pair was not in the mix. This “701″ Sharkley comes covered in 3M complimented by teal and aqua tones.

Other cosmetic interests include a splatter painted midsole that can be seen through the translucent teal outsole. On the back, the shoe has a large “701″ stitched on the heel tab, but I have a feeling this was a special make up for NikeTalk member sevenzro1 rather than giving a shout out to North Dakota.

  • Psychedelic Nike Dunks by Chrisco
By on September 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Chrisco showed off his latest pair of custom sneakers at the Nike Talk post linked here. These custom Nike Dunks took Chrisco a long time to complete because they required extensive hand stitching, coloring and drying. The result of Chrisco’s hard work is a pair of great Nike Dunks that stand out from the competition.

Chrisco uses a psychedelic theme with tie dyed colors that run the spectrum from yellow and orange to green and blue. I was impressed by the smooth transition of colors as I looked from the outside of the right shoe to the outside of the left shoe. You can see the hard work put into these shoes by looking at the flawless stitching running along the toe box.

The Psychedelic Nike Dunks also feature a set of 3M reflective strips stitched into the heel and tongue. These strips along with the bountiful colors used by Chrisco can help the wearer stay safe while walking at night. While tie dyed shirts and other clothing may be a bit cliched, Chrisco adds a new spin to this design method with the Psychedelic Dunks.
