Nike x DQM Dunk High Pack - #1

New York shop Dave’s Quality Meat collaborated with Nike to create this cool version of the Dunk High. There are three colorways expected to be released in this very limited package.

These Dunk Highs feature fully perforated suede in solid colors of Industrial Blue, Ice Green and Cave Purple. There is very minimal branding on these kicks with a simple DQM logo on the tongue. Only 15 pairs of each color are expected to be available to Paris shops Opium and Collette, and Germany’s Nort Berlin on Sept 20th with a United States release shortly afterward. I’m a big fan of the purple edition, but all three colorways are sweet. Via LA MJC and DQM.

If you’re a fan of the Pheonix Suns or just a fan of style, then i have what you’re looking for. What you see pictured is a pair of Nike Dunk High in a Phenoix Suns colorway, which is a part of the NBA pack. These shoes are very stylish and made out of impressive matierals such as suede / leather upper and a clean orange sole, along with a leather matieral where the Nike logo rests.

  • Nike Dunk Hi Spark Pack

The Nike Dunk Hi Spark Pack has two shoes in its collection. Hanon accepts pre-orders on the Nike Dunk Hi Spark Pack at its website. Each pair costs £94.95.

The shoe is made of two basic components. Leather and melton wool are on the upper. Melton wool is a heavy, fulled cloth. It is tightly constructed and finished with a smooth surface to hide the weave. It is usually found in outdoor attire that can give heavy duty use. The brown and black colors are traditional, classy colors. The simple, clear cut of the sneaker makes it look good.

Let’s look at the brown colorway first. The toe box starts with melton wool and it has random perforations. The mudguard is of the same color as the toe box. The midsection is again melton wool. The Nike Swoosh is attached over it. The heel is rounded off by having a leather panel that rises upwards and meets the shoe lace region. The inner shoe lining is white colored. The brown shoe on the brown reinforced shoe lace panels look neat. The midsole is brown and has deep treads which continue on the outsole.

The black colorway has exactly the same features as the brown colorway. I like both shoes because of the traditional colors.

  • Umairican Dream Dunks

Illmatic Customs dropped a pair of purple/black/white Dunks dubbed the “Umairican Dream” in a recent Nike Talk post linked here. These Dunks are part of Illmatic’s latest round of paint-splattered customs for one of his clients. While the Umairican Dreams are a one-off design, Illmatic’s expertise in splatter designs makes these shoes easier to make for new customers.

The light purple used in the background is perfect to accentuate Illmatic’s splatter technique. Illmatic kept the Nike swoosh black as a complementary element to the black circles placed throughout the shoe. He also kept the white middle panel and toe box to play well with the shoe’s white spots.

I have highlighted quite a few splattered sneakers over the last few months but Illmatic is one of the best at this technique. While the use of white and black spots may seem easy, Illmatic’s Umairican Dream Dunks give it a sophisticated look.

  • Air Jordan 7 – Bugs Bunny

Here’s a pair of Jordan 7’s with a slight twist. This shoe design was actually used on Bugs Bunny when he did a couple of commercials with Michael Jordan. These where first seen in 1992 and where just for display and now 16 years later we see these kicks on auction on eBay. For any Jordan collector these are a must buy, not to wear but just to have them because we all know Bugs Bunny is one of our childhood cartoon characters.

A few pictures of the Gore Tex SB dunk leaked during the spring and now thanks to Colmilludo we have a (semi) detailed look at them. Little is known about these but from what we can see in the pictures they feature multi shade grey upper using suede and possibly leather materials. The perforation on the toe box has been removed. No info on release date yet.
