  • Nike Hyperdunk Supreme Rice Kobe P.E.
By on September 15th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    here.

The Nike Hyperdunk Supreme Rice Kobe P.E. is a unique looking sneaker. Rice is the name of the high school in Harlem. Kobe Bryant sponsors Rice high School. Rice has planned a release at the House of Hoops in Harlem. The HOH has scheduled the release of this Hypredunk on September 20, 2008. The shoe carries the school colors. Quantities are limited in this release version. The early bird gets the worm.

Kobe’s signature sheath “Shozoko” is on the tongue. It is yellow in color and so is the name “Rice.” The tongue is covered in black mesh. The toe box is in shiny, black, patent leather. The shoe upper is black with a clever arrangement of lines to denote space and depth. These white lines and the translucent Nike swoosh converge to the back of the heel. The large yellow back tab at the heel is a nice accent that brightens up the shoe. The Nike swoosh is outlined in yellow. The ankle of the shoe has a collar that is in shiny patent leather. The midsole is special. It follows the arch of the foot in a thick, yellow arch. The remainder of the midsole at the front and back are black colored. It’s a nice design.

  • Shattered Air Force Supremes
By on September 15th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Diversitile Custom Clothing premiered the Shattered Supremes ahead of the release of its new clothing line. These photos were found on Diversitile’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here and show the designer’s eye for detail. If these shoes are a preview of Diversitile’s new line, I cannot wait to see the designer’s new work.

These Air Force Supremes start out simple with a turquoise/brown colorway. These two colors may not seem like a natural combination but I liked the unusual look of turquoise wrapping around brown toe boxes. The real magic begins when you look at the middle panel.

Diversitile used a broken glass design behind the Nike swoosh that embraces the beauty of colorful chaos. The shattered slices of color extend from the middle of the Nike swoosh up through the eyelets. The overall effect is a delightful mess that is difficult to look away from after a few moments.

I am eager to see what Diversitile has in mind for the clothing company’s upcoming line. I hope we see more of the off-kilter colors and designs featured on the Shattered Supremes.

    Air Jordan Countdown Pack I| XX2 - #1

This Air Jordan Countdown Pack is set to be released on September 25th at select Air Jordan accounts. This pack features the Air Jordan I and the Air Jordan XX2.

The colorways are quite simple, using a black and white makeup without the traditional Chicago Bulls red. If you are a fan of the shoe that started it all, the simple Air Jordan 1 in this pack is a good choice. Via Hypebeast.

  • Reebok 2009 USA Flag Pack – Court Victory Pump And Insta Pump
By on September 14th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    Image location: here.

Reebok has a new Pack called the USA Flag Pack. This pack consists of two designs for the Court Victory Pump and Insta Pump. Both designs use the colors and graphics of the flag. You can look for these shoes at Reebok.

Reebok’s Court Victory Pump is first discussed. The shoe upper is in navy blue with white stars printed on it. The stars are arranged neatly in a packed way and the upper looks good. The tongue is white and so is the shoe lace. At the upper tip of the tongue, there is a large red tag, which functions as an accent to liven up the shoe. There is a keychain with a round “pump” design attached at the last shoe lace hole. The midsole is red with a white outsole.

The Reebok Insta Pump “USA Flag” has the traditional button pump at the top. I prefer the look of this shoe. There is more variety in the patterns. The mud cap for the toe box has big white stars on a navy blue background. The toe box has small, white stars arranged very densely. This would be the main background pattern for the shoe upper. There is a frame that is attached over these upper and this makes the shoe look tough.
