  • Jordan Brand All American Classic – Blue Team XX3 PE
By on August 28th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

“Jordan Brand All American Classic games started taking place in 2002, which have included the likes of Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Chris Paul, Rudy Gay, Kevin Durant and many many more…”

This particular pair was made for Point Guard Malcom Lee who will be attending UCLA this year. The Blue Teams PE is made of a white leather base. Baby blue and black are used as the accent colors. The arygle print side panels are mostly black pebbled leather, with a nice mixture of baby blue and white. Leezy, Malcolm’s nickname is stitched in navy on the outside of the lighter sock liner.

These were limited to only 10 pairs and were only given to the players on the teams and quite the beauty to look at, for those who feel the same way it’s said that a GR pair will be releasing sometime this December. More pictures and a side-by-side comparison of these and the Titaniums are available for your viewing pleasure.

  • LaDainian Tomlinson x Nike – 1World Air Force One
By on August 27th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Nike continues their 18-Part 1World Series with the success of the ?uestLove Air Force One’s. This time giving LaDainian Tomlinson of the San Diego Chargers a crack at designing his own Air Force One. He sat down with Nike’s Jesse Leyva to create these lux-ed up sneakers. His personally designed Air Force One is composed of all croc. Most of the shoe is white but the baby blue swoosh and Lightning Bolt LT design is also made of croc. To make this shoe even more LT-esque the standard AF1′ lacelock has been swapped out and replaced with LaDainian’s jersey number, which can also be seen on the heel tab in baby blue. For those LT fans, his signature graces the tongue. Did I mention these have a nice icey translucent baby blue outsole?

Some might ask, why so plain? LaDainian wanted to create a shoe that he could wear with anything and if I might say myself, great job LT. I hope the success carries over onto the playing feild. These are set to drop sometime next month. Tons of pics after the jump!

  • Roland Berry x Reebok CL SW Canvas Mid “City Series”
By on August 27th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Reebok collaborated with Roland Berry to design some marvelous shoe innovations. For this pack, they have picked the CL SW Canvas Mid as the base.Roland Berry transformed the simple silhouette of the shoe. He used a mix of graphics, materials and colors to introduce the complicated design to change the simplicity of the shoe. The graphics are classical images that represent their city.

The shoe has Mexico City designs is the one with its national flag colors of red and green. Mexico is famous for its religious places of worship like the mountain where the Lady of Guadalupe appeared. Thus, the image has been featured on the shoe.

The shoe that is assigned to represent Los Angeles uses a blue colorway. The manmade landscape with telephone wires and power lines running along trees is the typical sight in LA. Blue was chosen because LA is close to the ocean.

The Japanese sneaker features the Yen. The New York shoe highlights the dark underground subways.

London City is represented in the shoe that has ornamental lattice metal works. The heel has a nice picture of London Bridge, which is one of the most famous icons of London.

Russia is represented with its traditional symbol at the heel. The sickle and hammer will always remains with Russia. There is a row of missile heads along the midsole. It reminds us that Russia is a formidable power.

The shoes featuring London and Mexico City will be released in September, Moscow by October, and New York and Los Angeles in November.

  • Joker Air Force Ones

EmmanueLabor has joined a growing number of sneaker artists who are paying tribute to Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight. His latest project is a pair of Nike Air Force Ones based on the outfits worn by the Joker throughout the movie. These photos were taken from EmmanueLabor’s latest Nike Talk post linked here.

The exterior of the Joker Air Force Ones feature a simple purple/black colorway that is evocative of the Joker’s signature suits. EmmanueLabor shows his true colors with the small surprises on the tongue, heel tag and outsole.

The outside of the tongue features a perfect recreation of the card given to the Joker’s victims in the movie. The tongue’s interior lining is a colorful argyle pattern that is featured on the villain’s socks. EmmanueLabor added scuff marks to the white outsole to simulate the paint that wears off the Joker’s face throughout the movie. I love the Joker Air Force Ones and hope to see other designers step up to the level that EmmanueLabor has set.
