    Grey/Metallic Silver

Nike just dropped another retro-futuristic Nike Court Force Hi, this time in a grey and metallic colorway with a white and grey midsole, as well as nubuck, suede and leather with metallic stitching on the tongue tab. It’s pretty tight, but it reminds us of something those robot-mime guys would wear. £65.

Nike Air Max 90 x MACHE Air Questo Custom
The Nike Air Max 90 already comes in a whole plethora of sick colorways, half of them from JD Sports in Britain. Regardless of all that, customizer MACHE took the Air Max 90 to a whole new level by combining it with the color and style of ?uestlove’s 1World Nike Air Force 1 AKA Air ?uesto. It’s almost an exact replica of the style from the Air Force 1, just transplanted onto an Air Max 90. It even features the silhouette of ?uestlove’s afro on the tongue. Thanks to my friend, Matt from NiceKicks for posting this one. See more angles after the break.

  • Adidas Remix EQT Runner “Neon Pack”
By on August 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Adidas has designed and released their EQT Runner as a part of their Remix series. The EQT Runner appears in a “Neon Pack.” This Pack has 2 EQT Runners. One Runner is in neon orange while the other is in neon yellow. This Pack is now sold at Bingo Runner. One pair sells at 18,650 Yen.

First, let’s look at the neon yellow colorway. The toe box is in black with yellow polka dots. The cap is in pink. The mudguard is yellow. The main body of the shoe is covered in these same yellow panels. In between the three stripes of Adidas, the shoe has the yellow polka on black background. The Adidas’ traditional stripes are in pink and so is the shoe lace. The heel has a panel in neon yellow. The midsole is in yellow and white, while the outsole is black.

Now, let’s look at the neon orange colorway. The toe box has the black ground with orange polka dots. The traditional Adidas stripes are in black colored panels. The midsole has 3 layers in colors. The orange is interspaced with a layer of black in between. The outsole is in orange. The shoe lace is black. I like the neon yellow colorway better than the orange one.

  • Dragon Ball Z Nike Dunks
By on August 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

DJ Stizo has shown off his latest custom Nikes through his MySpace page linked here. Stizo’s trademark is building shoes based on anime, cartoons and other light fare that are enjoyable for a broad range of sneaker fans. His latest shoes are a pair of custom Nike Dunks based on the popular anime series Dragon Ball Z.

This sneaker features the main elements of Dragon Ball Z including Son Goku and the elusive Dragon Balls that he chases. DJ Stizo does a fantastic job replicating the lively animation, bright colors and complex mythology in the typical Dragon Ball Z manga. My eyes darted from the balls to the dragon being ridden by Son Goku which is a natural reaction to the lush nature of Japanese comics.

I enjoy these shoes and I am sure that they will force readers to check out Dragon Ball Z. This pop culture phenomenon won’t be dying anytime soon so DJ Stizo seems to have hit on a lasting design motif.
