When the Defining Moments Package released, there were rumors that a third pair would release, the shoes that Jordan wore in North Carolina, Converse Pro Leather All-Star’s. Michael wore these shoes in the NCAA as part of the UNC Tarheels. No one has heard of these shoes since, but now we’ve acquired pictures of the shoes. The heel has a UNC blue logo of Jordan taking the winning shot at the waning moments of his first ever championship. The gold accents are similar to the gold in the DMP. Hopefully these shoes will hit the retailers soon!

  • David Z x Clarks “Metal Pack”
By on August 14th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Wallabees are a West Coast classic like Timberland on the East Coast. Last year New York boutique David Z collaborated with Asics to create the Solid Gold and Stainless Steel Gel Lyte III.

This time David Z has teamed up with Clarks to create a Olympic Medal inspired pack. The shoes in this pack are limited to 100 pairs per color way and will cost you about $140. They feature a very nice combination of pebbled leather finished with either metallic gold or metallic silver. The black trim is made from patent leather which mixes well with each color way.  Even though these shoes are brightly colored the simplicity of the design allows them to be worn with anything from T’s to button downs.

The David Z x Clarks Wallabee “Metal Pack” will be released August 21, the same day the individual compeition begins online and at their Broadway Flagship store. If your not able to make it out on release day DavidZ.com will be taking preorders.

  • Nike Air Classic SB “Green Bars”
By on August 14th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Sole Oreo has created some elaborate sneakers in the past including replicas of the Paris Dunk Highs. His latest sneakers are a pair of Nike Air Classic SBs called “Green Bars” that offer a completely different look into the designer’s mind. The designer shows that it is possible to create a fantastic design with a small number of brush strokes and touch ups.

Each shoe is split into a green side and a blue side as an exercise in contrasts. The outer edge of both shoes features a green Nike swoosh while the inner edge is painted blue. Sole Oreo symbolizes this split on the heel by painting a matching strip with green, black and blue running from the heel tab to the outsole.

Sole Oreo’s latest design was found on the Nike Talk post linked here. The “Green Bars” may be simple and feature minimal color but Sole Oreo did a great job using this spartan design.
