  • Shredded Custom Air Max 90s
By on June 26th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Sekure D posted some hot new sneakers to his website that should be interesting to fans of stylish customs. The base shoe for these customs is the oft-used Nike Air Max 90 that Sekure D seems to love. I love the division of pure color and multi-color elements along the sides of the Shredded Air Max 90s.

The top half of the Shredded Air Max 90s features a simple blue/white design that looks like a factory design. Sekure D abruptly changes the design halfway down the Nike swoosh with shredded blue lines set against a black backdrop. The designer juxtaposes the two design elements with the simple blue wrapped around the Air pocket and the shredded blue sitting between the first eyelets.

Readers can check out the Shredded Air Max 90s and other Sekure D customs at the designer’s website linked here.

  • Nike Dunk Hi Premium “Embossed 8″
By on June 26th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The source of the images is: here.

This is a great looking pair of Nike Dunk Hi Premium. This was designed to celebrate the Olympic Games in Beijing. It is sold at Proper.

The toe box is navy colored and in suede. It is framed by a mudguard and the toe portion has small holes. The shoe lace holes are done in the same type of material. The shoe lace is a deeper shade of blue. The tongue has the same color of blue as the shoe lace. It has a light blue tab at the tip. The midsection of the shoe is black in color. The premium leather is embossed with the figure 8. All the figures are arranged closely side by side. The heel has a mudguard that is the same material as the toe box.

The Nike swoosh is in deep blue; the same blue as the shoe lace. The midsole is light blue and this color looks like a fluorescent blue. The midsole has a line of machined thread stitches running around its perimeter. The outsole has deep threads in its pattern.

Blue is a soothing color and this shoe has made good use of the blue colors.

  • Yo! MTV Raps x Puma Suede TLP – First Round B4

Yo! MTV Raps x Puma Suede TLP - First Round B4 - #1

The Yo! MTV Raps collection continues with two new releases. This time they have included the Suede TLP and the First Round B4.

The Suede TLP features a white and light green colorway that is very fresh for summer. Using perforated leather, green accents and gold print, this shoe is has lots of interesting details that make it a good choice.

The First Round B4 features a white upper with lots of black trim. It also has light green accents. This shoe is a lot more brash than the subdued Suede TLP, but it will still garner some attention. Get these shoes now from Mita. Via Sneaker Files.

  • Nike Marty McFly Hyperdunks

    here

Nike will finally answer the cries of millions of sneaker fans- after years of waiting, speculating and begging – as it releases the Marty McFly Hyperdunks in limited quantities. The release date is rumored to either be early July or late summer.

Although not exactly the same as the ones worn by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future, these McFly-inspired Hyperdunks may be the closest McFly fans will ever get to the mythological pair. The shoes come in a McFly-inspired colorway with a grey base, speckled outsole, light blue highlights and the number 2015 stamped on the tongue. The subtle blue netting sets these apart from the other Hyperdunks.

Don’t wait until 2015 to cop these amazing shoes, or you will wish you could go back in time to get a pair.

  • Banana Camo Chuck Taylor Customs
By on June 26th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

New Era’s Banana Camo baseball hat was the inspiration for the Chuck Taylors posted here. The great designers from Sweatshop Clothing out of Cincinnati, OH posted these customs to their MySpace page recently. The picture above showcases the inspirational hat as well as the custom sneakers in their full glory.

Sweatshop Clothing took a pair of camo Chuck Taylors and applied the same pattern used on the New Era hat. The image of bananas dancing across a camo background may not sound good but Sweatshop did a great job executing its design.

My favorite part of the Banana Camo customs is the Sweat Shop lettering used on the tongues. This lettering matches the yellow color of the bananas prancing along the edge of the shoe. Sweatshop Clothing achieved synergy with the New Era hat by adding the same lettering to the hat’s brim.
