Nike Airstab Premium – Runnin’ Gunnin’By SneakerFreak on June 1st, 2008 | No Comments
Nike has released a new Airstab Premium Quickstrike. It is sold at
Major DC. This shoe has a black and magenta colorway. The toe box and main body of the shoe is in black mesh. The toe box has a cap of black leather in cackle print. The lines of the print are in dark black, and set against the background of lighter black.
The shoe lace region is pink. Its shoe lace is in matching pink and has black spots. The portion of the ankle is pink and so is a small section of the midsole. The heel has an area that has black background and pink spots. I think the black and pink combination is good.
Over the heel, there is a large section of the cackle print leather. I think it is a nice feature to end the shoe with the same material that was used in the front. It gives a balanced look to the sneaker.
The outsole has a nice graphic. Both the left and right outsoles have an apple each. The worm in the picture says, “Out of sight, out of mind.” The lower half of the outsole is black, with a zig-zag pattern on the treads.
At the heel, a black patch of back stab has the embroidered words, “Runnin’ Gunnin.’” The threads used are pink and orange in color. I like the creative graphic on the outsole the best of all.
(more…)Neptune Dunk LowsBy SneakerFreak on June 1st, 2008 | No CommentsThe custom Nike Dunks shown in this post are one-offs created by Sekure D. This customizer took a pair of size 10.5 Dunks and turned them into an other-worldly experience. These shoes were posted on Sekure D’s website in mid-May and are still available as of May 27th, 2008.
Sekure D channeled the work of graffiti artist Aeon to create a shoe that blends a colorful palette with an urban aesthetic. The animated gray and blue shapes added behind the Nike swoosh look like they belong in a modern graphic novel. The black paint used along the shoe’s collar and swoosh drips downward to the outsole to create a “living” look to the Neptune Dunks. There are additional black spots throughout the shoe that provide accent pieces on the upper without disturbing the overall look.
I love everything about the Neptune Dunks and I hope that some lucky reader heads to Sekure D’s website to pick up these shoes. If you don’t wear size 10.5 shoes, think about jamming your feet in these stylish shoes or filling the empty spaces with a roll of socks. These sneakers are too hot to set on someone’s shelf as an art piece.
(more…)Adidas ZX800 – Flavors of the WorldBy SneakerFreak on June 1st, 2008 | No CommentsIf you want a unique pair of shoes, check out these Adidas ZX800 Flavor of the World kicks. You can’t find much more unique shoes than the ones shown here. As you probably have noticed, the two shoes are different from one another.
The left shoe uses a white and blue color scheme, while the right shoe uses a white and red color scheme. The story behind these shoes is based on the Festival of Folclorico de Parintins, a popular annual celebration held in Brazil, which concerns the legends of two feuding families.
While these shoes are obviously not from everyone, if you want to make a splash, you can’t go wrong with these kicks. You can get these right now at the
Overkill Shop for 5. (more…)Jordan Brand FlipsydeBy SneakerFreak on June 1st, 2008 | No CommentsJordan Brand is releasing a new skater shoe with their Jordan Brand Flipsyde model. The Flipsydes are slick looking and can be worn for almost all occasions, even though they are built for skateboarding.
Black and grey are the two colors that dominate these sneakers. A cracked leather look is used using both black and grey aspects. There are plenty of Jordan logos on these shoes so even though they are obviously skater shoes, they don’t lose the Jordan Brand appeal.
If you want to add more spice to these kicks, you could take off the standard black shoelaces and replace them with white shoelaces. These will be releasing on July 1st. Via
