Fresh and Fly Customz is back again with a pair of custom Nike Dunks that combine the improbable elements of simplicity and flash. The Silver Bullet Dunks have small touches of red and black paint amidst a sea of silver paint. The designer kept the Nike swoosh the same color as the silver background to avoid needless distractions on this slick pair of shoes.
I like these shoes because they don’t use unnecessary elements to create the illusion of speed and style. Fresh and Fly Customz was able to make this shoe look great without adding wild designs or bright colors that would get in the way of the overall aesthetic.
The reason why I love these custom Dunks over comparable efforts by other designers is the use of silver instead of gold. The cool hue emanating from a silver shoe plays well with the red and black elements in a way that is impossible with gold paint. Gold is played out as an indicator of style in shoes while silver’s stock is rising among sneaker fans.
