Long Beach’s Interaxionne Apparel has brought a touch of art and architectural appreciation to the custom sneaker world with their new custom Dunks. These Nike Dunks are based on designs by Italian futurist designers like Antonio Sant’Elia and Umberto Boccione, two artists for whom Interaxionne’s brain trust have great esteem.

The front panels of these Nike Dunks have flowing green/gray shapes that run up to the top eyelets. Interaxionne used a red/black cityscape design on the heel in honor of Sant’Elia’s architectural work. The toe tag features Nike lettering with the green color from the front panels in a juxtaposition of the two opposing designs.

This shoe will be released and sold at Royalefam.

This sneaker used selvage denim that was black colored. Selvage is chosen because the edge does not fray. Selvage does not have the separate wefts which leave an open edge that has to be machine stitched. The selvage in this shoe sits on the shoe upper and midsole.

The toe cap is framed by a layer of denim that has narrow strips of green and red. This part is one of the highlights of the shoe. The shoe upper is made of smooth, black colored leather and looks sleek. The accents in the denim change the look.

On the first pair of shoe lace holes, there is a covering/ lock. The shoe lace is also done differently from the rest of the shoe. The Nike swoosh is black and the texture of the leather is grainy. Snakeskin is used for this swoosh.

The shoe has the old fashioned but trustworthy gum soles. The inner lining is thick and coated with black mesh. At the heel, there is a tab of black colored leather. Nike is embossed on this tab. The heel and the toe cap have the same border of denim. The green and red strips are present. I like this shoe with its mixture of classic leather and denim.
