The good people at Baysicc Designs have come out with custom Nike Dunks called Just Add Color. These Dunks make a 64-color pack of Crayola crayons look like a black-and-white photo. The designer applied blue, green, pink and yellow to different segments of the Dunks in an effort to give wearers a taste of the entire color spectrum.
I like the different hues used on the Just Add Color Dunks but I am not a big fan of the glitter. The vibrant colors added lovingly to the Dunks are diminished a bit by the annoying reflection off of the glitter. The theme and implementation of the Just Add Color customs are superb but it is tough to look past the glitter.
I will give Baysicc Designs the benefit of the doubt on these shoes since they have created great sneakers in the past. They are pushing the envelope with their designs and a custom sneaker cannot (and should not) please every person that sees it. The consensus approach to designing shoes has yielded mixed results in the past for companies like Nike, Reebok and Adidas.
