Sole Brother Customs celebrated Earth Day on Tuesday by unveiling the Earth Force Ones. These custom Air Force Ones celebrate the beauty and singularity of Earth for sneaker fans concerned about global warming and dwindling resources. I think the social message of these custom sneakers is overshadowed a bit by the exemplary design applied by Sole Brother’s designers.

The green Nike swoosh bridges the white and black spaces on the Earth Force Ones to show the unifying force of environmental responsibility. The light blue hue used on the heel tag matches the lush oceans of Earth. The most impressive aspect of the Earth Force Ones is the split picture of the globe. The white side is a blur of white and blue swirls and the black side features a realistic representation of our planet as seen from space.

The designer says that a portion of the purchase price will be donated to the Alliance for Climate Protection. You can contact Sole Brothers about the Earth Force Ones by heading to their website linked here. These shoes are great for expanding celebrations of our natural resources beyond Tuesday’s Earth Day events.

  • Nike Dunk Low Womens Liberty Fabric Pack

Nike Dunk Low Womens Liberty Fabric Pack #3

Two more Nike Dunk Lows have been added to the Nike Liberty Fabric Pack. These shoes feature a floral print and interesting details.

The Red/White colorway has a subtle floral print that is used sparingly on the heel tab and inner lining. This shoe is actually quite nice.

The other version is a little too bold for my taste, combining Yellow with a big floral print that should be reserved for kitchen curtains.

These shoes will be available at select retailers and you can get them now at Purchaze.

Silas x Reebok Classic Leather #1

Silas has teamed up with Reebok to create this modern look on one of their classics. This black shoe features gold details on the tongue and a yellow bottom sole.

The shoe features croc-embossed leather all over for a very upscale look. For many occasions, you can sub this shoe for dress shoes. These black leather shoes will definitely garner some attention, as their unique look is appealing across generations. You can get these at Unbar for ¥18,800 yen (about $180 USD).

Nike Vernissage Posteria - The Art Of Football, side view

This Nike Dunk Hi has been designed and colored with the Gucci colors in mind. The designer is from Diedlastnight. A wild mixture of leathers is used for this shoe. I can see smooth leather, shiny leather and rough leather.

The colorway is in dark green/ black and white. The accents are the red Nike swoosh and outsole. The red outsole has deep treads and provides good gripe. After the dark and white colors of the shoe upper, the red outsole is a nice change of color.

The toe box is dark green/ black and has tiny perforations. The toe box is protected by a border of shiny leather. The shoe lace is white and it complements the midsection of the shoe, which is also white.I like the white lace because the rest of the colorway is dark. You can always use your own preferred color of shoe lace.

The Nike swoosh is a bold, red dash across the stark white background.

The heel has an extra leather brace that extends from the midsole upwards. This section of leather has a granulated appearance. It provides texture and makes the shoe look different.

The classic design of the shoe makes it suitable for use as a formal shoe.

  • Puma Unleashes First Round Skates

Puma continues to dazzle and amaze its fans in 2008 with a duo of First Round Skates that will fly off shelves soon. These high-top skate shoes feature exaggerated padding on the heel for ankle support as well as a classic skateboarder look. The premium suede used throughout the shoe is soft to the touch and looks great on the board and on the streets. A puffy tongue prevent rubbing on the top part of the wearer’s foot and brings back elements of the sneaker world from the 1980s.

There are two colorways offered in this version of the Puma First Round Skate. I posted the black/red colorway first due to its sleek look and simplicity. The second colorway is blue and white which would be a fantastic consolation prize if the first shoe is not available. These skate shoes continue Puma’s efforts in 2008 to relive the brand’s past while adding new twists to classic looks.
