Adidas is releasing a Tournament Edition of their famous Rod Laver tennis shoes in time for people to hit the courts this spring. Laver’s name has become synonymous with this simple all-white shoe due to his prolific career. His 392 match wins and 39 ATP tournament victories will never be forgotten with the help of the new Tournament Edition.
This new take on the Rod Laver adds more class with simple touches. An etched Tournament Edition logo on each tongue replaces the standard Adidas tri-stripe. The green heel tag is a darker shade than the regular Rod Lavers and Stan Smiths. The lack of the Adidas name, logo and other branding materials on the Rod Laver is a welcome feature considering excessive branding on most shoes these days.
These tennis shoes probably won’t be used much in singles and doubles matches considering the Rod Laver’s popularity among skateboarders and other sneaker fans. Â The Tournament Editions will be released soon in limited numbers so keep an eye out over the next month.

Both these colorways manage to offer a fresh take on an old school look. Each come with extra laces and you get these right now at Major DC. I prefer the yellow edition but the brown and orange shoe is a terrific option for fall.
Major is located at 1426 Wisconsin Ave. NW in Washington, DC and can be reached at (202) 625-6732. Via
For $135, you can get your hands on these limited edition Nikes that come in the classic Chicago Bulls colors of black and red. If you are a fan of Michael Jordan specifically or just the Bulls in general, these are a pair of kicks you should consider copping.
The thing I like about Air Force 1 Low ADV Limited Edition is that while they aren’t flashy with a lot of colors and patterns, they do stand out from the crowd. The black-on-black Nike swoosh is very smooth, as the same leather is used on the shoe and the swoosh. The black and red works especially well together because it isn’t overly integrated and instead the two colors just seem to work well with each other.
Call the NikeTown nearest you to see if they will have these kicks in stock when they are released on March 15th, or grab them right now from
Japanese brand Hectic is set to release a new shoe – Hectic Yops. The shoe is named after the owner of Hectic, Yoshifumi Egawa who is nicknamed Yops or Yoppy.
These terry cloth shoes come in vibrant colors that are perfect for springtime. The solid colorways are simple but the texture of the terry cloth gives them some oomph. The yellow and purple editions are probably not great colors for shoes, but the blue versions may garner some attention.
These sneakers are set to release sometime in April. Via
