  • Nike “Hounds Tooth” Pack (3 Air Max colorways)
By on February 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The photos are from SneakerFreaker. There might be more information on where the sneakers will be released later.

Nike has a new “Hounds Tooth” Pack. There are 3 Air Max designs in this Pack. It is called the “Hounds Tooth” Pack because each design has the standard silver “Hounds Tooth” pattern on the shoe upper and it is mixed with cool ice blue and white.

I think the first pair of sneakers has the most striking colors. The upper is composed of the stripes of colors. It progresses gradually from the silver, right down to grey, black and finally blue. The transparent air cushion bits look like little chinks of ice in the sole. The Nike swoosh took a back seat as it is reduced to a small size, placed at the heel of the shoe. This is a rare instance where the Nike swoosh has been reduced in size and taken a less prominent position on the shoe.

In the second pair of Air Max, I like the bi-colored shoe lace. The blue and purple colors are a nice accent to the shoe upper of silver “Hounds Tooth.”

The third pair of Air Max looks like it has a high mid-sole but it actually is a protective layer of grey leather.  The sole is the special feature for this shoe. More than half of the bottom sole is covered in the hard plastic that houses the Air Max technology.

  • Nike Bermuda Returns

The brain trust at Nike has decided to re-release some of the brand’s classic running shoes in 2008. The Nike Bermuda is now available at select stores including Solebox in a variety of colors. The gray/white colorway with a bright green swoosh is shown above because it stands out from other colorways available for the Bermuda.

The aesthetics of the Nike Bermuda may put off some sneaker fans who look for sneakers that are flawless. The Nike Bermuda looks a bit like an ugly duckling compared to today’s technical running shoes. The outsole may look discolored compared to the bright white color of new models. The combination of green, gray and white on the Bermudas may not seem like a great colorway for casual sneaker fans.

Nike is smart to re-release shoes like the Nike Bermuda because sneaker fans love retro. This shoe was favored in the early 1980s by long-distance runners looking to protect their feet. I doubt you will see many Nike Bermudas on race tracks but I can guarantee you will see plenty at malls, colleges and parties throughout the world in 2008.

    Robot Films 2008 EQT B-Ball

Robot Films collaborated with adidas last year on their adidas Remix project and now they are doing it again with their 2008 version. The creative inspiration of the duo of film maker Chris Robinson and Set Free came up with the new shoe. These photos of the shoes were taken by Set Free himself, along with his own vintage robot collection.

The look of these shoes is very simplistic, but modern looking. As with all EQT B-Ball shoes, these have the removable sockliners for your own personal comfort. Also in the pack are two “Robot is the Future” New Era caps, and a t-shirt.

According to HypeBeast, 500 pairs of these hot sneaks are available at stores such as Atmos, Bodega, Major Inc and Robot.
