PUMA x No Mas First Round (LA) 1

Puma and No Mas have collaborated on new designs again. This will be available at UNDEFEATED Las Vegas, 12 noon, on Feb. 13. A limited number of pairs will be made available.

The first collaboration is called the LA because it takes the inspirations from the Lakers. The colorway is black leather. The pattern is purple colored embroidered lottery balls. Lottery balls are cool. They symbolize striking the lottery. The shoe laces are tri-colored. Every lace tip is capped with its colored plastic cap, with the “No Mas” printed on it. The caps and the printed words are in different color combinations of black, yellow and purple. I like this idea as it makes the shoe laces look very good.

Yellow is a major accent in the lace and a runway strip down the side of the shoe. In between the top of the shoe lace hole and the yellow strip is the Puma brand and FIRST ROUND logo, sewn in gold. The tongue has a yellow tab with a purple Puma.  I like the high tongue of the shoe because it makes it look tough. The photo shows the shoe laces being done half way up the shoe.

The outsole sole is pretty. It is in dark purple, with No Mas in yellow print. The treads are even in design. The ankle tab is nicely decorated with purple and yellow accents.

  • Methamphibian and IN4MATION Present New Custom Nike Dunk Low
By on February 13th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    dunklowfab5hawaii.jpg

These custom Nike Dunk Lows were made available through Hawaii’s IN4MATION this past week to much acclaim. Custom sneaker fans in the Islands were able to pick up a piece of art by designer Methamphibian. A full-length picture shown above demonstrates Methamphibian’s creative use of simple colors. These Dunk Lows include a deep blue that runs along the border of the toe box up to the top eyelet. A matching blue swoosh is subtle against a black background which is a compliment to the designer’s arrangement of design elements.

The major design element featured on these Nike Dunk Lows is the white skull with black shadows. This menacing face glares out from the heels on both shoes to offer some protection while you walk down the street. Comic book fans may notice a similarity with the skull featured in “The Punisher” comics. This skull seems to be more worn and fearsome than the polished head emblazoned on Frank Castle’s chest.

I have read posters with interest in selling these shoes through websites like NikeTalk so get a pair before these people come to their senses.

  • Nike All-Star Weekend Dunk High

    Nike All-Star Weekend Dunk High

With the NBA All-Star game to be played this weekend in New Orleans, Nike is busy with All-Star releases. These gold and black Dunk Highs are extremely smooth looking. If you are a fan of the New Orleans Saints or gold and black in general, these kicks are for you.

Nike did a good job of using a shade of gold that isn’t overbearing. The brownish gold goes perfectly with the black leather. While the design is simple, the final product is impressive.

It’s difficult to get your hands on these shoes as they are available only at certain NikeTowns across the country. However, if you do buy a pair, part of the money will go toward the ongoing community rebuilding occurring in New Orleans. Nike and select retailers will donate $50 to the Let Me Play program to the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Good kicks for a good cause – can’t beat that combo.Via Sneaker Files.

If you are looking for a multicolored collaboration to spice up your kicks collection, look no further than this collabo between Adidas and Lemar & Dauley.Available in both black and white editions, each version has its own unique aura.

The black edition is more daring. The thing that stands out when you first look at the shoe is the pink checkerboard design that exists throughout the shoe but is most notable on the back.Besides the pink, there is a lot of red, yellow and green.

On the other hand, the white edition is a bit more subdued. While there is a bit of pink, the second most notable color is a light sea green. The back half of the shoe is black, with a black and white checkerboard used on top of the black design. These are available now at Undefeated U.S locations.Via High Snobiety.
