The C.I. Boys phenomenon is moving slowly from Asia to North America based on our interest in all things anime. C.I. Boys embrace the ridiculous moves and attacks of games like Street Fighter using miniature characters. A serious C.I. Boys fan would faint if they had an opportunity to try on these custom Nike skateboarding shoes from Stizo Custom Kicks.

Stizo’s client asked the designer to maintain the green sole and laces while providing a unique homage to the C.I. Boys. Bright orange paint was used to frame the mural of C.I. Boys characters set against a bubbly background. I was impressed with the seamless imposition of a few of the characters over the Nike swoosh. This affront to the Nike logo may be sacrilege to some sneaker fans but I like this slight nod to artistic freedom by Stizo Custom Kicks.

Another Valentine’s Day shoe from Nike dropped this week. This time, the Nike Womens Blazer Mid Valentine’s Day hit the shelves around the U.S.

These sneakers feature a white linen upper with a very faint all over repeated heart pattern. The Swoosh, back tab and sole is black, while the shoe is also accented with pink and red for Valentine’s Day.

Pink grapefruit leather lines the lace loops, while the laces themselves are dark red.

These shoes are pretty sweet because though they are in the Valentine’s day theme, the heart pattern is very subtle. If you want to pick up a pair for your girl (or ladies who want them for themselves) can find them right now at Nike retailers. Via KF.

Though we have been seeing previews and leaks for sometime now, on Tuesday the Jordan Brand officially unveiled the Air Jordan XX3, the highly anticipated 23rd iteration of the world’s most respected and innovative basketball shoe. The Air Jordan XX3 celebrates 23 years of a legacy started by the most revered basketball athlete in history … Michael Jordan.

“The Air Jordan XX3 is deeply meaningful to me, as a celebration of both my life and career. The number 23 is obviously of great significance to me and the release of the XX3 is a pinnacle moment in the Brand’s history,” said Michael Jordan. “I’m honored and humbled by the Air Jordan franchise’s loyal following after all these years. The release of this shoe is exciting and a dream come true for me.”

On hand were legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, Jordan Footwear Director Gentry Humphrey, Jordan Brand Manager Roman Vega and Nike’s VP of Corporate Responsibility Hannah Jones.

Each of the four talked about the shoe but it was Hatfield who unveiled the Air Jordan XX3 to a select group of journalists.

The Air Jordan XX3 continues the successful tradition by providing fans with a beautiful performance product that is lightweight, low to the ground, breathable, and maximizes comfort. A newly engineered, patent-pending, stitching machine delivers intricate detailing in the upper portion of the shoe. The low midsole profile allows players to be as close to the ground as possible and feel the court. Unique design cues such as the imprint of Michael Jordan’s fingerprint serving as the traction pattern on the outsole and his thumbprint on the back of the tongue lining bring to life the man that makes the franchise so special.

This Air Jordan XX3 was created with the environment in mind. Though it’s not completely “green,” they have done everything possible to create less waste and use no toxic materials.

Jordan Brand is set to launch several colorways of the Air Jordan XX3. An exclusive limited release will launch on Friday, January 25, 2008 with a suggested retail price of $230. An All-Star release will launch on Saturday, February 16, 2008 and the nationwide launch will be released on Saturday, February 23, 2008 both with a suggested retail price of $185. Admiral is a traditional British footwear brand. It has been made popular in Japan since efforts were intensive towards marketing it. The web store, Chapterworld, keeps stocks of the Admiral’s latest model, called the Watford. Each pair sells for 8,190 Japanese Yen. The Watford shows the characteristic trait of having the low top sneaker.
